Busy trying to get the correct mount kit for my gpr stabilizer....
gpr only accepts creditcard payments no paypal so specialy for them I got a visa creditcard but somehow I can't even pay with it (works in eu already used it).
I asked the bank when I got the visa I could pay online/us they said no problem...
Why everything alsways have to be so hard/complicated and why the hell gpr just does not accept paypal paypal is soooooo easy.
I get it that in us it's normal that everbody has a creditcard and pays everything with it but here in belgium and I guess Europe in general not so much so IMO they are losing customers this way only accepting creditcard...
I can only get the mount kit directly from gpr not other vendors that sell gpr complete kits....
I do have the part number now for the mount kit maybe I can try asking some other gpr dealers if they can get it for me:unsure:

Took me a lot of time/effort/money but today my stabilizer mount kit arrived.
Happy...
Started unboxing hmm strange the bar mount looks very different it even got threads in em... flip it upside down guess what its a kit for husqvarna 08-13 bikes:mad:
F*CK I am furious I spend a lot of money on gpr products and now I have 2 complete mount kits 1 steering stabilizer wasted tons of cash on it and still cant even freakin use it:furious:
I am curious what gpr will suggest but I will not be spending another single dollar on them thats for sure

I see only 2 options for me that I would be happy with...
They send me ANOTHER and hopefully finaly the correct mount kit for free letting me keep the husqvarna kit (sending back is way to expensive and I already spend enough time/money on this. )
Or they take back the complete kit+damper for retail price.
And later I will buy a scotts damper I kinda had it with gpr...

This also arrived from toxicmoto.com (chainblock) and dirttricks (front sprockets + dome washer + chain gage. )
Luckily all parts are correct:p

I now have a very strong durable setup with ek zzz chain (strongest 520 chain available).
Ironman front sprockets and s steel/supersprox rear.
The chain currently on the bike (4th chain) I measured with the chain gage and its beyond worn hope it lasts just one more trackday than I can send my rear wheel+new hub to alpina

Chain is 112 links front sprockets 14/15 rear 42/44;)
With power the bike makes now and the tracks I am doing I probably never use the 42 rear but maybe If I ever use it for the street again or gain some pony's;)

Got a reply from gpr saying they will refund the mount kit after I ship it back wich was 200$
I had to pay for shipping to shipito warehouse and after for shipping/customs to, so for me it already costs almost 300 and than I have to send it back meaning there mistake will cost me 200$ and I end up with nothing.

Sorry but I think that's unacceptable I spend more than enough on gpr products and because I didn't buy the damper directly from gpr they will not take everything back only the mount kit if still in perfect condition with incvoice that I don't even have (choose to remove it by shipito).

I am almost mad to the point I will take an airplane fly to us and burn the gpr office down :p

I suggest them to send me another kit for free but I don't expect them to agree on it altough I think they realy should 200$ for some aluminium/bolts is way overpriced IMO and they earned enough money on me already paying for all this **** I can't even use:cool:

they are sending me another bar mount kit I pray that everything will work out now:spin:
Normally will arrive next week or the week after;)
the 1st this month I inflated both my tyres at 2.0 bar
The rear is almost same the front dropped to 1.2....
I checked it before and there was air escaping from edge of the rim took front tyre of and could see a lot of corrosion on the rim where the tyre wall sits so I sanded it away and re installed tyre...
I don't think the valve was bad or the spoke tubeless system could the air be escaping from the tyre itself?
At least the air loss is acceptable before removing the trye the front was completely flat in 2 days !

I was about to ask how were your dealings with shipito, but did a google check first and found a zillion of negative reviews :)

How do you find dealing with shipito? You mentioned they got rid of an invoice for you - does that impact customs fees?

I used Shipito a couple of times now no problems...
I did choose dhl express every time for shipping to me wich is extremely fast.
What are the negative reviews about?

Normally next weekend there is another supermoto trackday on mettet but weather forecast is realy **** and do'nt feel like going even though realy enjoyed it last time...
Decided to get the bike in tiptop condition this weekend (would have ridden one more time at mettet with badly worn chain/rear tyre I do'nt like...)

So now I have bought a set of metzeler raceteck sm slicks a new hub for the alpina rear wheel and hope to install the new chainkit+chainblock this weekend pretty busy with work/stuff weekends are to short:p
The hub is realy expensive though I thought I made a good deal for 267€ (part nr said complete hub) only got the hub without sprocket carrier and cush rubbers...
The hub will cost me over 400€+over 200 shipping/rebuilding the rear wheel to alpina:eek:
Hope to update with some pics soon I will spend some more money this afternoon ordering missing parts for the hub and some other small stuff:p

shipito are very good, never had a problem

you fill out your own customs declaration online

its printed and included when shipped

if there is no other paperwork then import is based on what you wrote on the declaration

busy with work during the week and bike is at someone elses garage for moment without rear wheel...
So some weekends I fiddle with my bike a bit...
I just got a new chain tool and wanted to test it so I installed the new chain/rivetted master link...
20 min later I'm thinking..hmmm I forgot to install changuide near rear sprocket first:unsure: lol
So now I have to get a new master link and do it all over again or could I ride it like this to me the function for chainguard is to keep dirt/rocks/branches away from between chain/sprocket while offroading maybe it does not realy have a function on motard/asphalt and I can ride it without???

The lower rear chain guard I think would stop a foot or some other body part
getting dragged into the sprocket.:( during a mishap, I would put it on.

Interestingly the law here says you must have a chain guard, and they
are talking about the one on the top side of the swing arm. Which IMO is
not really necessary and probably only good for stopping the chain oil flicking around.:D

Yes that is also a good function of the lower chain guard/slider....
So I ordered new chain master link on ebay 8.50€ shipped :)

Some "bad" news I send my rear wheel to alpina been talking to the uk importer for a while to arrange everything to get the oem cush hub installed in my rear wheel that now has a kite/alpina hub in it.
Bought the oem hub/shipped it to italy together with my wheel now I got an email he made a mistake and the ycan not use this hub in my wheel...
When wheels are ordered holes in the rim for spokes are drilled in certain angle and it only works with the kite hub:rolleyes:

So the only way to fix my wheel will be to put in a new kite hub.
He admitted it was his fault and I made a good deal with him on future order (Wanted a second set of wheels for a long time).
So there goes my money:p
Already got the rear hub will order the front by the end of the month and than save a couple of months and get a new wheelset build by alpina with 16.5 front:)

:/ too bad to hear but good info! happy riding!

i can't remember - I should look it up ... did you do anything to your suspension yet? or stock FS valving?
