husaberg fs 570 "project"

yesterday first trackday in long time on the 570 it whent okay but not great (didn't have enough confidence in the front to go real fast in slower corners because I lost the front a couple of times (saved it).
Maybe something wrong with suspension setup or just my riding style is wrong or tyre pressure only did 3x20 minutes and than gave up had a lot of fun though...

There was only on other supermoto on track on a smc690r that guy couldn't keep up with me he said I was flying ton the berg :p
Will post a video later:)
I also brought my gsxr with me an that whent REALY well I was the fastest guy on track yesterday on it  (it's a track that is not used in higher end competition so the pro racers dont come to train on it:happy: )
(otherwise it would be a different story:D ).

Damn I miss riding my Berg while watching your trackday vids. :supersad:

Get the 46mm Ducati throttle body and you will have tons of fun with a motor that can breathe properly at mid-hi rpm's. I can guide you down how to fit one and how to modify the airbox for it. It's a 20min install and removal on my bike now, as it's fitted so it doesn't differ from OEM tb installation much.

The only thing you need is a 2-stroke throttle cable (300 ktm/berg), inner tube for airbox mod and some rtv sealant.

Front end chatter is a pain on these bikes! Low offset triples and 16.5 front wheel is what cures it mostly.

Thx for your reply yes the guys who mapped my ecu on dyno a couple of months ago told me that fp throttlebody was not a succes on some bikes hard to get it tuned properly and bad throttle response...

But he does not have direct experience with it himself so maybe he's just telling me that so I could try something else/buy from him so he can make some money on me:p
What do you think is it "rideable" not on/off throttle at constant/low throttle opening midcorner??

Those triple are they available by hsb or you have to buy some from a ktm in ugly orange :D

I will try some more with suspension/tyre pressure and if that doens't work I might invest in triples/16.5 front this thing is just a never ending moneypit:unsure:
My tire pressur was maybe a bit to high and the damping of the front forks not good/to hard it also has not been serviced in 2 years....
I did get the shock rebuild and added a lighter spring than stock last winter but figured the forks where not necessary to service again...

At very low throttle inputs it can be a little snappy as the big 46mm butterfly valve sucks a lot more air in. It is controllable in most tight low speed low rpm situations, but I love the mid/top rev response. Instant rear tire stepping out or sudden wheelies out of turns.

Far from bad throttle response, in fact the response is a lot better and more direct feel. I'd say the head must be ported to suit the new tb. Stock intake port is too restrictive and don't have the right taper at the port beginning. You end up with a huge gap where the tb meets intake port. That alone robs power and response.

If you can't tune proper afr's with a different tb, the bike either has other problems or the tuner is incompetent. :D
Mine was perfect when it last time "worked" well. Was a blast to ride...

Xtrig makes 10/14mm clamps in different bling colours.

I looked at these x trig clamps handsome stuff around 500€not cheap...
Also on their website husaberg is not even listed in there and offsets ar around 20 mm probably for enduro bikes maybe if yo buy some for a ktm smr it would be a steeper offset and it would fit the berg to but I wouldn't like to try it out for 500:p

There's a big possibility I will go for the big tb in 2016 first a couple more trackdays in current setup.

Well I don't have to work on monday and a mate with aprilia sxv is going to the same track that I whent last time tomorrow and there are still places available guess I will try again tommorow:D
Experemint with lower tyre pressure first than rising forks up in triple and maybe suspension later to see if I can find some more front end grip.
I'm only taking the berg this time had enough tracktime on the gixxer already and that bike is sorted out:happy:

Hey Make, what TPS did you use? The 9X6 one isnt linear, but can be used anyway if you know the algoritm it uses which I do, just curious as Im trying to get my 570 going for the ice.

Oem TPS and MAP. Fp installed and calibrated the TPS.
I milled a custom bracket for the map sensor afterwards.
The throttle body is from Ducati s4rs

Well on monday my 570 almost caught fire...
I have t on video the fuel hose that runs from the pump to quick disconnect cracked and sprayed fuel all over the hot engine/exhaust while I was riding on trakc lucky I noticed that pretty quick and stopped....

also my trailtech dash is broken (AGAIN) I thought the cause was battery but put a new one in it only lasted 1 session:rolleyes:
I been using these dashes since my 650 in 2008 and I bought 2 for my 650 and it's already the 2nd one on the 570:mad:
Wish there where more options available it does not have to be a trailtech for me but I like to have a rev meter...
If I could have decent shift light I wouldn't even need revmeter but I don't think you can get a shiftlight for 570???
Shiftlight and hourmeter is al I need don't want to buy a 5th (!) trailtech unit...
I find it hard to get correct shift just by sound/feel because power is realy flat and if I shift to soon in higher gears especialy form 5-6th I lose a lot of speed from 2-3 3-4 not realy an issue;)
I have to rev it above 9000 in 4th/5th for optimal acceleration

My tuned 570 has a shift light. And rev limiter (pit lane, launch control whatever) and quick shift.

FP engineering ECU ;)

I haven't enabled it yet as I have been busy with other stuff this year. Sadly.

You Guys are light years ahead of Me. I'm just happy if the bikes runs goods. Must be to old to be learning new things.

I will probably end up buying my 4th (!) trailtech dash in 6 years:rolleyes:
the 1st 2 ones where for my 650 now the 2nd one on the 570 is broken...
I can buy a complete new kit on ebay for reasonable price and it says its for fs 570 but I want to ask the seller if the speedo cable is the one with threads at the end or with sticky mount...
Because the threaded one only works on enduro forks.
I didn't have this problem before but if I select contact seller it keeps on saying sorry you can not contact this seller find the answer in the description what the hell:rolleyes:
you can buy seperate speedo cale but that is almost a 3rd of the price from the complete kit to buy seperately so not very interesting :p
