I am searching a bit about tyres and asking supermoto friends advice with theire experience...
turns out the ones who bought the same set I am using also didn't like the bridgestone tyres...
Good thing the set only cost me 160€ but for next summer I will buy some metzeler racetec sm tyres I can get them at affordable 260€ price or maybe the michelin supermoto tyres but they are very expensive and I already tryed the metzeler front tyre once and thought it was much better than the bridgestone I am having now...
This winter hoping to do 2-3 more trackdays with the ****** bridgestone slicks:p

Dunlop slicks ftw. If you prefer insane lean angles and side grip without letting go with warning then duns are best choice (also most expensives out there).

Michelins are really good too. Better grip when backing it in, but they tend to loose grip at full lean without warning.
Really the only downside on them is that imo. Michs have really good traction on gravel also compared to other slick tires.

I currently have Dunlop soft slick on the front and Michelin medium on the rear for street/track purposes (mainly take off tires). Have a fresh set of Dunlop slicks waiting for next year track days. :)

I use the Metzler racetechs and have no complaints. I had a set of Dunlops and they were nice too, just can't justify the price difference/performance over the racetechs. I acquired two sets of Racetechs for less than one set of Dunlops as part of a deal. Not sure if the MSRP is any less for the Metzlers.

Yeah mostly I just buy tyres I can get the best deal on that's why I ended up with these bridgestones although I was not a big bridgestone fan to begin with....
I also used dunlops (kr 106/kr108 ) on my 650 many years ago they where awesome!!! (got a new rear tyre for a good deal and a mate gave me a used front one for free:p )
Michelin I only tried front (also 650) didn't like the "feel" of the tyre maybe because of lower profile.
Metzeler I only tryed the front on my 570 and it was pretty good and can get a set for decent price...
But just spent a couple of hundred on other parts so for now the bridgestones will have to do for a few more days  **** tyres lol

No engine/performance mods this winter altough I been working a lot lately and making good money (new job I started 6 months ago) I am almost spending it faster than I can earn it...
All kinds of bills/unexpected costs:rolleyes:
Instead I will buy me a decent set of tyres and have a couple of fun track days maybe next winter:rolleyes: (wanted to try the fp throttle body)
I left my bike at the dealer a few weeks ago and I am picking it up today also a +500€bill (The forks have been serviced/inside of front brake rotor replaced/all new fuel hoses/some small stuff...)

Better to not mod to much and have some money left to actualy ride it no?:)

I just registered for a supermoto trackday at mettet next weekend.
I picked the slowest group because I suck at the offroad part and it's a track I never been to:cool:
I got a used pirelli rain tyre from my racebike I fitted on the front the rear bridgestone sm slick will have to do for now wil get me a set of metzelers after...
Also added some new fork protectors (got them with the bike when I bought it).
But added some nice fork decals for some extra bling;)
Bike looks realy nice in "race trim" will make a pic soon

Hey Husabelg,
just received alpina like yours, well almost...alloy ones... but no cush drive either,
was wondering what difference you noticed? does it cause more wear (gearbox, sprockets) ? And do you have a slipper clutch? Does it help with no cush drive?

I think it causes more wear but I'm no expert I have no slipperclutch either.
Congratz on the wheels realy like them just be sure to use good bolts/nuts for the sprockets and use some locktite on them that could have saved my hub from being chewed up;)

you're scaring me :)))

I've put some ti screws, with a single drop of Blue loctite, and didn't overtight them, hope this will do..

Yesterday I ride at mettet supermoto track the rain front tyre is 10x better than the bridgestone slick wow!
The first 2 sessions offroad+asphalt was very slippery everey session got slightly dryer the final 2 sessions asphalt was almost completely dry and the offroad was rideable.
I did over 120 km does not seem like much but average speed on this track was low and very intense Now everything hurts:p
Very happy with my bike only 2 complaints rear tyre is still **** :p and it's VERY shakey with the rain tyre on acceleration/without steeering damper.
But very happy with the day I done things I didn't know I could do did some very nice drifts into a slippery donwhill (1st right hander after offroad).
My buddy who was with me on is crf took a class for drifting and said my drifts where crazy long/sideways compared to his well I was just as surpised as him didn't even intend to do it just happened there everytime in heavy braking shifting from 3-2:p.
I still suck at offroad(turns) but I am pretty fast on the straights/jumps.
Also surpised I stayed on the bike the whole day had many OH **** moments but guess it was my lucky day:happy:
Pics will follow
(my laptime was still +- 20 seconds slower than fastest but I don't feel bad because it was my first time on that track+ with names like fiorentino and chareyre on the laptime list it would be strange If it was close lol )

Yes can still feel its fun my whole body hurts lol
Today worked almost 16 hours only allowed 15 but got stuck in bad traffic jam in the end (truck).
No time for washing dirty bike unload stuff from Trackday yet everything is still in my van :p

A trackdy pic this was not the slippery downhill corner I was talking about in previous post but on this more grippy right hander right before entering 1st offroad section I was als getting a little sideways

currently running 14/43 but my chainset is pretty worn so 1 more trackday and will replace it.

I think this will work well on any track I do (max top speeds around 180)

If you look at the chart if I shift from 5-6th gear at about 150 km/h the revs drop back from +- 9800 all the way to 7500 so I will set my second shift light at 9750 (currently 9500).

In lower gears not that important to shift at 8/8.5/9 plenty of torque and power to pick up fast enough at lower speeds at 150 and big ratio difference 5vs6 different story;)

Here a video from sunday
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dd2kUZCxJzQ&feature=youtu.be

Mettet belgium its only on the start to finish straight.
I also think its a bit dangerous tracks specialy because they stand on other side of these concrete walls making sound measurements when riders drive by.
Sometimes this causes dangerous situations it wouldnt be the first time two riders collide on the straight because one of them suddenly moves to the left to get lower sound measure while other rider is Trying to pass and gets surprised...
