yep, as the topic says,what brand is best? it seems every expert i talk to ,has a better than stock seal. i know it is pretty hard to get any fork seal to last when you ride it through the mud & crap all the time + the upside down forks don't seem to last like the old right way up forks,but hey...

I bought a 2005 FE550e. When washing the bike i noticed that the threads in the fork foot that holds the fork guards have been stripped. Someone has obviously over tightened them. What can I do to remedy this ? I thought about using JB Auto Weld. Any other suggestion or magic fixes ?

I got some 4.6 wt race tech springs to replace my standard springs on the 2008 berg. They are apparently the right springs for the bike. I notice that the race tech springs are 3cm longer than the standard WP springs. Has anyone else noticed this? This will clearly affect the preload.
