I've searched high & low and cannot come up with a part # or spec for the two oil-sealing o-rings on the cam of my '99 FS600. I'm about to tear into the top end & would like to have all my parts lined up before I do so. If they're a standard sized o-ring I'll just get them from my hydraulics...
Been converting all 2002s to 08 cam recently and really winding up those ADC springs till they twanged. the great news is that we've done about 4 2001/2s and they all spin over far quicker due to the 08 cam.
as i suspected - and it isn't rocket science - I knew that the only phuqin thing I...
One week before my first supermoto race in nearly 4 years and the cam shaft bearings collapse, luckly it happened at idle so I quickly switched her off.
Striped the cam cover off and retrieved all the balls, took the left side cover off and removed some bits of bearing retainer.
Now, I have some...
I found a spiffy blue anodized manual cam chain tensioner for the FE for about $45. Anyone using these in this bike? I am new to the FE, actually it is still in transit to my house. Planning the mods already.
My last bike was a DRZ400 - they had terrible tensioners that sometimes failed with...
Was checking my valves yesterday and noticed that my exhaust clearances have opened up from the last time, 0.19 from 0.14. This I thought was odd but did notice that roller on the exhaust rocker arm has a small wear line on it that the intake one does not have.
I looked in the service manual...
I now have about 13 mods for getting the Husabergs to start right. that's 13 for the 2001-2003 bikes which whittles down to about 5 still for the 2004-2008.
but I had another 2002 in here this week that only just starts on the button and I kinda slung it together in my mind after the...
Hi
I'm restoring my 98 Fe600E, and would like to change the timing sprocket (alum.) to a steel one.
And I want to have a 04+ autodecomp.
Are the steel ones of the same dimension of the 98 ones ? what year ?
Thanks

I'm looking at getting a G2 Throttle cam on an 08 450 FE, but wondered if I could solicit some input.
I'm looking at the cam to help smooth out the throttle a bit as I get bounced around on the trails - it would seem the flat spot would allow the throttle to be moved accidentally w/o lurching...

My cam chain tensioner has been clattering off and on.
A couple of months ago I ordered and received the Dirt Tricks cam chain tensioner.
Today I noticed the tensioner was again clattering and I was thinking about replacing it.
So I was looking at the instructions and noticed nothing special...
Hi Guys
Is it better to put shielded or open bearings on the cam?
I know the early girls had them open but I've heard the later years had shielded installed.
What's better and why did they change?

can anyone who has bought an eccentric brake cam tell me if they are happy with the product and whether I made them big enough for the job?
maybe the SM boys especially would like their brake levers even lower?

Hi Guys,
I've checked the owners dock, my manual and can't seem to find the right details on checking the cam chain adjustment...or what teh hell to do with the adjuster itself
Can someone give me an idiotproof version of what to do..
Mucho Thanks

Yesterday Robbo cracked 7 hours on his bike and 45 on mine, his made the cam chain noise. We did the one click trick fix and it worked perfectly ( no noise ) and checked valve clearances. After the first attempt, plenty of foul language and spilt beer we worked out that you should unbolt the...
anyone know how tight a cam chain should be , taken side of her, and it moves about 10mm each way ,is this ok , says nothing in the manual about tolerances .
