Dutch clog decomp, spring and cam

The decomp return spring on my 1997 600 is now F.U.B.A.R.ed as I have tried to bend it to make it work. The pranged part would not grip the flat part of the decomp very well and slips barely staying in place neting little to no spring tension. If I order another stock decomp spring which was...

It's the valves not the cam chain.

Last night I posted about cam chain issues. I was sure that my cam chain had broken. But tonight I took the rockerarm cover off the bike. And here is what I saw. http://tim-schaefer.smugmug.com/photos/ ... F5Fn-M.jpg http://tim-schaefer.smugmug.com/photos/ ... PZXi-M.jpg...

Cam chain replacement, checking for bent valves.

With less than 20 hrs on my last cam chain replacement. I broke another one this past weekend. I am thinking that it was my "at home" chain rivet job quality. Now I need to check the valves to see if they are bent. I am thinking of just rotating the cam and checking the valve clearance. I...

Anyone tried a KTM Cam in a Husaberg

I wrecked a 01 KTM 400exc and a 04 450sx recently and last week tried the cam in a 03 650 head that that I had sitting around. It looked like the cam would slot straight in if the waterpump drive was lopped off. Any thoughts ? Regards Dan
