I am about to rebuild my FE450 engine and want to convert it to 380. What cam should i use to get the best result. Some says a KTM 400 EXC cam will do better than the stock FE 450. Will that cam fit in the head?

well like the owners doc says not if but when. lost one of the cam follower bearings on my 02 fe 400. it took one of the adjusting screws with it and also made a crack in the cam cover. the adjusting screw was laying in the head, but the bearing is gone into the engine. a couple of questions...

anyone take the alloy cam sprocket off the earlier models and thin them down similar to steel so the decomp can get in closer? i think we're talking about 2mm out? regards Taffy

checked a "worn" regina chain today. a CHR and it was still 1mm shorter than a brand new DID!!!! now didn't we hear this somewhere before? regards Taffy

did we ever discover a cheaper route to these? folk in the UK are now paying £40 per bearing. i've tried to track these through the bearing stockists but it seems to be an automotive part. regards Taffy

Can any one answer me this question on my 05 650 the cam bearings are closed case bearings(meaning they still have the plastic sides on why :?: ) am putting new ones in at the moment and wondering can i remove these and rely on the oil from the cam chain to lubricate these. a nice detailed...

Just confirming that if i removed the clutch basket, and during some moments of inepttitude, happened to move the timing gear (but did not remove the camchain) that all i have to do is line up the marks as identified in the image above and my timing should be back to normal correct?
