Kluge slang: a clever fix, often making the best of things from unrelated parts or unscheduled events, meant to be temporary but often lasting longer.

I was thinking of words with the word berg in it, I came to lambergini, which are obviously fast an exotic, dropped the lam and wammy....bergini:cool:

I guess mine is simple and obvious. Couldn't think of anything catchy, witty or particularly memorable when I registered here. However, I do have a soft spot for dualsports (my 2011 FE390 is dualsported) and will always have a DS in my garage.

Cool thread idea - always wondered what some user names were all about.

I was a firefighter and EMT and then a police officer. It was a nickname given to me by the guys I did the emergency services with. The full nickname was CrazyTed the mad blue lighter.

From Prince Edward island Canada love taking the bikes to the Red muddy hills and cliffs back home ..and then hit the car wash :happy3:

I started sneaking around the interwebz like a Ghost in the mid 90's and have been using it ever since.

/Nick

At school i was nick named " Jack". During my teens a couple mates started adding to it which included " Jackson" and followed by " Action Jackson". I hated this name at the time so of course it stuck! After a while the " Jackson" was dropped and only " Action" remained. Some might say the name was very fitting for me on occasion! In Australia years ago there was a national campaign to promote fitness called " life be in it". One of the activities they promoted was called " Akshun". One of my mates gave me some of the merchandise with this on for my birthday one year. Years later when i was trying to come up with an email address for myself i found that the word " action" had been used up in almost every way! Then i remembered the different spelling ( akshun) and have been spelling it like this ever since!

My parents are from Estonia, I was born in '65 and I'm not very creative.

Some years ago .. a couple of years ago ... well a lot of years ago, the 50 CC's were the only thing available here and I always raced with the Italian's engines.

Latter it appeared one Italian brand with a funny name called "malaguti" (that I've never owned) and a guy decided to join my name (José or short Zé) with that and the ZAGUTI stick for a while.

Then because I was somehow fast, someone changed it to ZAAAAAGA ...

It should sound like ZÁGA

Well it's stupid bit it has stick ... so I continue to use it

I rode trials for many years. I decided to start doing some dual sport riding. After one very hot Florida ride contained miles of deep sandy whoops, the guys were sitting around bench racing about the day. One guy said he just could not get the hang of the sandy whoops and said "but not Scott, he was like Mr Smooth in the whoops". It stuck. Also aka, Smooth and Smoothie.

Back in the days where there was no Facebook and we all used to chat on mIRC. I usually used some nickname I can't remember as my main nickname but would sometimes switch to "OldMan" because of the black metal band (Old Man's Child). I guess I listened too much to Old Man's Child back then because I noticed I was using "OldMan" more frequently than anything else when people started referring to me as "OldMan".

And here I am today, probably 10 years after that still using it. Someday it will make sense as I'm usually not the oldest man around.

Well,
I have always ridden or owned dirt bikes that can be ridden on the road and have a compliance ID plate.
I thought about something simular then went with engine number as the first thing that came to mind at the time.

my Dad moved from Wales to England's 'East Anglia' and he opened a workshop straightaway and became known as 'Taffy Lloyd'. I was then Taff's lad, Taff's boy etc and then eventually I was 'Taffy Lloyd' end of.

I have been to Wales many times since including last weekend and this weekend coming. I'm a fraud there! no accent, wasn't born there etc...

by the way FOR THE YANKS
TAFFS are Welsh
Jocks are Scottish
