Another fun project I'm helping out with. Angle grinder, CrMo-tubes and TIG-bonanza!

Last motorcycle frame I built was 3D-CAD and FEM-calculated. This mod? Not so much...

Some more CAD-modeling on my own Hedlund Café Racer (DRC500). So far I have thrown three models in the bin, but it doesn´t hurt so much as long as they are digital!

I have recieved the new liner from Westwood and now it is getting honed together with my piston. I should have recieved it last Friday, but maybe this coming week. After that it is time to assemble the engine and check whether the rebalancing of the crank has had the desired effect on the vibrations. Training events are planned and the sofa potato has begun the running exercise!

While waiting I have put som more hours on the CAD-model for my café racer project. The design concept is more or less decided to look something like this:

Looking forward to seeing more of both of those projects
And those other Norvins looked great.........Any sound bites?

I can't see that beign good for handling

I would make an "X" brace where you did the mod... or at least brace it to the subframe nod.

Haha! No, neither can I!
This is on the owners request. Maybe there is some excuse by the fact that "all" Norvins are made this way.
At first I told my friend: -OK, I can help you out, but you must never tell anyone it came out of my workshop!
I suppose it will carry a distinguished gentleman to the café and back in an acceptable manner.

The best solution would have been to use the Vincent motor as a part of the frame, just as it was originally designed.

From now on that solution will be known as "Dr C's solution".

Yeah, I was afraid of that... It will haunt me to my dying days!
But the thrill in having a 25000€ newly produced Vincent replica engine in my workshop was simply irresistible!
