Hi all :)
Seeing as how the cases are split I'm considering replacing the .741 6th with the .840 C/R 6th.

I dont particularily want to download the old 02 parts manuals, so does anyone out there have the pt nos. for the .840 gearset combo ??( if it is even still available as a spare part)

And has anyone out there done the W/R to C/R change and what was your impression ?

i only have the info in the '03 owners book and therefore the old part numbers:

input shaft = 240 076-01 (25 teeth)
output shaft = 240 086-01 (21 teeth)

it's called the CR box.

ask the dealer with those numbers - they should still do.

the factory riders use them and so does my dealer but i gear for the right revs in the muck and at 14 x 51 it's perfic in first gear. it's far more important to an enduro rider to have good engine braking but not have to shift to second but back to first ALL the TIME.

regards

Taffy
