Now that you folks from across the ponds have introduced us Yanks to supermoto racing.and we Yanks have approved of it as a worthy endevor.do you think this website would benefit by having a specific supermoto forum since it is so different than offroad riding as some of those dudes have obviously wacked their knoggins at very high speeds and all.oh by the way did anyone see Doug Henry spank some guy on a KTM last weekend? :eek:nfire:

I support the Supermoto forum because that's something I am also looking into. Looks like our summers could be busy with motard races and our winters busy with trail rides (they close most of the trails in the summer out here).

Now, I also saw the said guy on his KTM spank the entire competition including Henry during the first race when it was really wet and nasty.

Be careful who you make fun of

no to a different forum. this whole website grinds to a halt somedays and the topics can get a bit desperate. i see diversification as weakness.

the KTM site looks a bloody mess quite frankly. their experiment in all things including husabergs makes them broad with no depth.

what makes a SM different anyway? so the 5 of you talk on your own, what have you discovered? 5 x nothing is nothing?

whilst 90% of our experiences are relevant to each other why build a partition?

sometimes i don't know where you lot are coming from and that's dangerous.

regards

Taffy

Sounds lika a great idea to me.

I don't care all that much about skid plates and extra cooling fans anyway

I'm more interested in magnesium 17" wheels and that kind of stuff :D

so what are you going to say to the other four that you can't say to us all then jocke?

i won't be there to tell you anything, pass on my experience or what i've heard, or give you a link?

how many sub sections do you want? i wnat one for MX, one for enduro, one for trail, one for road racing. tell you what you start a roadracing one so you can discuss power curves etc!

we might come along now and again and see you posting to yourself! now that would be funny. a swede from the other end of the world, meets nobody all day, has an elk for a best friend, rides a bike nobody has heard of and is in the RR section and a group of 1.

how about you posting questions and then answering them yourself!

you could even have parties where you place mirrors around the room! it's got more potential for jokes than the australian farmers joke!

god, what a load of piffle!

we could even start a flat track section and put dale in there on his own. that's a good idea, let's start a FT section! but then we really ought to have a 'west coast' section and an 'east coast' as well.

the possibilities are endless! we could end up like exotics at TT or husabergs at KTMtalk.

i think SM stands for sado masochists and you're really sex change freaks! have your own section for the 5 of you and you can BOND

Heya Taff...
you always share great comments...
I'm sure here on UHE are more than five Sado Masochists!
- I like your SM Interpretation -
On the other hand I'm not sure if we really need a separate forum.
Some of your statements concerning experience are true indeed.
We should really share them, because there are many synergys between
MX and SM... Imaging you're on the dirt section ON SLICKS!

Regards, Maddel

That's an excellent idea motoxotica :D

Perhaps I could suggest it's called the SM (aka Husaberg engine test & redevelopment) section.

It'll probably be the busiest section on the website because that's where all the weaknesses and then solutions are found before anyone else gets even close and eventually follows our lead

S&M, bloody right, I once believed we were customers not development & test riders.....

Holy **** Taf? Little sand in the vagina that early in the morning??? I know you are probably just joking, but crap. Are you bitter because your jealous? I kinda agree with you though. When I come to this page, I view all recent threads, so I wouldn't matter where they are located. If the topic sounds interesting, I read and/or join the conversation, regardless of SM or MX or trail, or technical.

Did Sweden invade England at some point and got your panties all caught up in a bunch???

This is the funniest thread i've read in a long time, should be in the "lighter side". SM is nothing i'm interested in right now but as it is gaining popularity maybe it is worth considering? Maybe it will weed out some of the topics that 98.7% of people are not interested in Taffy??? If it pertains to Husaberg, it should be considered, thats the way congress and parliament are supposed to be, the voice of the masses. That is, of course, if we are a democracy??? None the less, I share some of your views regarding rooms and mirrors Taff....... that was hilarious!

Regards,

you all wanna see how technical SM riders are? just read the thread on "horsepower ratings". now if it all gets too technical for you all then we'll have a SM forum. but i can't imagine too many of you will admit to having the I.Q. of PLANCTUN

i have yet to see a really authoritative article by anybody from the SM section. all the engine development ideas come from mr flat track or ahem, someone else! if i ever want to know about the BHP of a pipe i'll come and see ya'll but don't hold yer breath too long now ya'll hear?

if you go to the 'owners doc' there are about 5 things put there because of SM boys. and anyway, i haven't heard of one of yer getting a decent result!!!! like when was the last time?

at least we have an ISDE rider here. i road raced longer than most people's dirt careers.

SM? posers, never get dirty, talk about their noisy pipes, dress up in women's clothes at night.

given the huge horsepower that an SM puts out and down through those sticky black hoops you would have thought that my new thread on 'swing arm pivot pins' would have stimulated a bit of interest but alas SM's are either never ridden, ridden rarely or at the very best-not ridden very hard.

that's the only reason i can imagine that they can all handle so perfectly...

Compressor

In the interest of simplicity (though I really would enjoy firing up the compressor and blowing the sand out of Taffy), how about just putting SUPERMOTO in the subject line of general posts ? And we trendy dolts can just select subject matter at our own peril :)

Cheers,

Have you met my family? The Plankton's

Taffy is getting me so fired up that i am starting to think about tearing it up on the tarmac as well.then there would be 6 of us. what do you think of that Taf?dan. :cursin:

Is the Roast Beef giving you a hard time?

My 2 cents (and they're Euro cents, a tad more than US cents) is as follows:

Husaberg makes three types of bikes: MX, Enduro and Supermoto. The two first types can be categorized as "dirt bikes" and they can be used for both (you can motocross an enduro and trail ride a motocross bike).

Supermoto is different, and therefore a new forum would not be necessarily a bad idea.

does that mean that we get rid of dan, froggy and the intellectual boffin?

you get my vote, passed unanamously. now go forth and do it!

i can't wait for the threads:

"rear wheel nearly slid today wow!"
"what is a main jet"
"my girlfriend doesn't like me when i dress up"
"should i race in leather or leave it apres   ?"
"i nearly changed into second but bottled it"
"my other bike is a lambretta"
"do your high heels get caught in the long grass as well"

dan why don't you do something useful and tell us about part updates and how we can improve our bikes instead of selling something-discreetly yes-but definately selling us something.

as probably the greatest supplier in the entire world of husaberg parts and a reputation thyat is so great you can but lose it; we have your name down on the owners doc errrrrr! uuummmm! oooh shugar-well not at all really! um, not even once. tish! um! shame really

still, your just learning right? getting there!

i understand.

regrets

Taffy
