imagine my consternation when i found a 3mm wide spring, about 25mm long on my parcel bench on friday! just 3 yards from the workshop bench i knew that there was every chance that a spring had 'pinged' across the workshop.

the question was, which bike? which part of the bike? who's bike!

i'm in deep do-do now! someone's husaberg is going to be a pile of worthless junk soon!

then i find my husaberg pen......

in bits at the back of the bench.....

less the spring.....

even husaberg pens let go after 20 hours, is there ANY hope left!

regards

Depends on.
How you use it.
How you maintain it.
And of course who is the user.
;-)

Still going strong after 200h "knock on wood".
Will contact you when i find the starter and one broken CDI that i know i have somewhere.

Regards
Jampe

Taffy I can only assume you didn't read the owners manual which came with the pen.

The ink must be changed every 8th word written.
The ball should be checked and re-shimed at 21 sentences.
The spring length measurement must not exceed 28.77mm and be replaced after each paragraph.
DO NOT use the pen for underlining as this will void warranty and cause stress on parts.

I bought a Bic.

You must have the first year of the new mechanism. We warned you that there were issues with the new model pen but you bought it anyway (At $.05 I think you paid too much). If you had done the updates and installed the DSK (dual spring kit) as suggested your pen would probably be going WFO instead of being parted on E-Bay.
