Re:
After reading through my post here I see that I forgot to post about the next valve lash check I did. I re checked them before FR 3 at roughly 70 hours and this is what I found.
Intakes: both at .006"
Exhausts: left .007", right .0075"
Since the right was just a bit loose, and after reading Dustbite's comments about the exhaust shims deforming after a while I took the bike down to the KTM shop and my friend Brett adjust the valves for me since I do not own a shim kit, and he is very reasonable and thorough.
He pulled the rocker shaft ( much easier than pulling the cam) for the exhausts after measuring and checked both shims, neither was deformed. He tole me that even though the shims are marked a certain thickness they vary a bit from shim to shim. He found one that was about right and when he re assembled the exhaust rocker assembly and measured, here's what he got.
Exhaust: both sides .12mm or .0047" which is the minimum.
He figured that he must have rotated the exhaust rocker shaft 180 degrees when he re assembled it and that was the cause for the decrease in valve lash. This is of course no consequence, other than the measurement change, probably due to the fact that one side had the wear and the other did not.
So now that I have got right at 100 hours on my bike, I'll be checking them again soon.
As a side note: I had talked with Kurt Beckman a while back at Bike Barn, and he was sponsoring pretty fast young man on a 450, and at 120 hours the valves were still in tolerance from new. That goes along with Dustbites 500 hour no valve lash movement. Just the shims needed replacing as mentioned above.
The only other thing that has worn out on my bike so far is the lower heim joint for the shock, I replaced that a few hours back, and also bought the little neoprene guard for it to help keep the dirt and mud off of it.

After the IDC 100 I pulled the rocker cover and checked the valves, first time since the three hour check.
At 3 hours: Intakes: .005" Exhausts: .006"
At 44 hours: Intakes: .006" Exhausts: .007"
Not bad, not bad at all. I just decided to leave the alone for now, they are both at the maximum limit for the valve lash. I'll check them again in another 20 or 25 hours.
