RevLoc vs Rekluse

What is the difference between both autoclutch devices?

The RevLoc is twice the price of the Rekluse. Is it better built? Easier to install? Easier to set up?

I'd hate to have to remove the clutch cover 5 or 6 times until I get it right, it's a bit of a pain on the 2001!

Also I am looking for an easy port onto a more recent Berg, if one day I get a "new to me" 05 or 06.

Thanks for the input!

The RevLoc is easier to set up, and is much less maintenance intensive. The Rekluse works fine on bikes up to 450cc. The RevLoc is more capable of handling the increased torque of the 550 and 650 bikes. The Rekluse, as currently designed, is not well suited to the lower rpm high torque of the 550 and 650's.

I've had a Rekluse on my KTM for 8 or 9K miles and it works well. PowerCell had one on his Berg 650 and it kept tearing up clutches. It never engaged well enough becuase the flywheel was slow and the balls in the clutch never moved far enough out to engage the clutch completely. There is a lot writtenn about this if you do a search. He installed a RevLoc and never had any more issues.

Thanks a lot for the advice. Sounds like the RevLoc is the way to go, too bad it is also quite more costly (about double the price) but I'm tired of stalling in the rough stuff.

I had an EFM autoclutch on my KX-500 for a couple of years. I sold it six months ago when I bought a Husaberg but the guy is still running it. Very easy to set up but you do have to send your clutch basket in to be modified. If it would handle the power from the mighty KX-500, I think the Husaberg would be a piece of cake. I would put one on my Husaberg but the thing pulls cleanly down to ide, the clutch pull is very light and it has electric start. He even makes autoclutches for Harleys. Normal cost for a clutch from him is $500. He does beautiful CNC machine work. The website is here: http://www.efmautoclutch.com/
