can anyone give me some addvice on this,

whilst ridding a knock started in my engine(07 fe450 30 hrs 1300kms)and i could see the clutch cover vibrating.i layed the bike on its side removed the clutch cover and a bolt had came loose and ground into the cover putting metal fragments through the oil and engine.after several oil flushes and changes along with the filter each time i took the bike for a ride maybe 3 hrs and after another oil change noticed the oil to be very dirty almost black, smells like exhaust and is still full of metal.what sort of remedy is likely to fix this problem.

all advice would be greatly appreciated

the thing is, you tipped the bike over and moved the metal shavings back into the 'gulf stream' of your oil. the only way it can get back into the left cover is via the reed valve in the bottom middle.

what you need to do is either wash some engine wash through the back of the kickstart hole and then go to oil or just keep doing what you are doing. the trouble with engine wash (not degreaser) is that you may splash particles into the gearbox and selector bearings wrecking them.

i'd just keep doing what you are doing....
