Ok I am in. If you all promise not to make fun of me when my berg quits and my drz quits and I end up riding my RASCAL. I can then be camp bitch. Taffy has a good idea about the lodge. That might be fun and help those of us who don't want to drag a trailer all the way. The back of my truck will be filled with bikes and the bumper rack .... well you can guess what is there. Which hotel are we going to have as event central. Thats where I want to be.
BTW DEZ thanks for the pm we still need to get you up here. I'll be in your area on Presidents day weekend going from Jean to Beatty for a three day dualsport. Care to join? Had fun year before last. Death valley is great and with a tag you have all the trails and two tracks open for your pleasure.

I'll be at the Slickrock Campground. We can meet there each morning to group together for the ride and again in the evening after dinner to discuss skill levels and trail choices.

The campground has cabins that you can share. They cost $30/night.

I started another thread with the hotel list so it wouldn't be buried in the middle of this thread.

Bobzilla, just throw in a can of blue paint and we can have that DR looking like a Husa-wannabe in no time. Try to get one of the cabins so we are all as close as possible for the evening bench rides. (Taffy will like that!) I'm looking foreward to meeting you and all the other Husa-nuts at Moab. BD

believe me I would go in a heart beat. infact initially I had stated I was going, then I remembered.... if I want to stay married, and ride something different than a husaberg once in awhile :roll: I had better make sure I am around when the kid is born.. due date March 1, 2005 and the wife has a history of being late to everything. I will live vicariously through you guys until the next FORCE RIDE!

What about you midwest guys? You can't tell us you would rather sit home and stare at snow and slush than ride your 'berg at Moab! Come on guys!

I have being dying to commit to this ride since the initial post. So if I can get the good BaronvonHusaberg as a travel partner then I'm in. I'll bring some Canadian beer to mix it up a little!!!


It will be quite an exerience to put faces to the names. Let the bench racing begin!!!!

Just made my reservations for a 4 person cabin Mar 3-6. Probable have room for at least one maybe two others who are not coming with me. I can't get a commitment from them but I'll be there for sure and have extra room if needed.

infact, i am coming but i'm trying to take advantage of a free flight to the USA that goes with my new seimens mobile phone. so a cabin is my idea of fun!

i gotta get sorted soon, it's doing my bloody head in!

Finally! The midwest gets involved!

Schwim has reserved a cabin at Slickrock for Thursday through Saturday nights. I have also taken a cabin at Slickrock for the same days..
The cabins must be pretty basic for the low price, but at least we'll be in the midst of the rest of the Clan.

The cabins hold more than 1 person. We should coordinate with all the people who want to stay in a cabin. I'm flexable and could just pitch a tent but a cabin would be nicer.

at the risk of drip-dripping this thing out i just thought i'd mention that seimens are sending me the booking forms so i can get my flight sorted.

i have accepted at present a place in bobzilla's cabin. so my next step is to be in tune with either dezduster or splat as they have both kindly offered me some warm american hospitality!

so i'll have a word with those two by PM and sort my dates, then flights, then accomodation, then a bike and then it's christmas and then....
as said, only telling you a bit because i like to be a man of my word and you ain't heard diddly from me for a fortnight or more.

C ya in Moab I look foward to finally meeting some of the people I have gotten to know on line in person. Just remember....... what goes on and what lies are told in Moab stay ine Moab.

STOP THE PRESSES!!! This evening I told my wife that I was going to attend next year because it looks like such a good time.. She says "Tell me again why you are not going this year?" I said "DUH you will have JUST had a baby" she looked at me like i was from another planet and said "do you math again sherlock" ... ARGHHHHH I had my dates all screwed up in my head... I CAN GO! the babay is not due till march 29th!

Unklemoose do you still have room for one more? I think i read that brendan was riding with you and i live just a few minutes north of him in turlock!

barring any major malfunctions with the steed and if i can hop on a caravan of bergers count me as being there!

Also, Just wanted to make sure that it is okay if a novice dirt rider (riding dirt for 1 year) joins in. I do my damnedest to keep up with the guys i ride with but they have a bit of patience sometimes. don't want to slow anyone down and i the way i look at it i will never get better if i don't ride with experienced folks.

Hey Risky1, you will not be the only novice, as I only have a bit over 100 hours experience since 9/2003. Glad to hear you can go.
