thought i should put it up for shipito users, I know I put Davo onto them .. .beware of DHL
DHL tries regulary to charge people a fee of about $50 for "customs inspection fees" 3-4 weeks after you get the package. it has been going on for years.
what you need to do is check if the package has been opened or inspected when you get it.
if it has been (in aust) it will have an aqis sticker and or a stamp and some info inside your package.
usually it has not been inspected by aqis with DHL trying it on.
what you need to do is ask them to send a copy of the customs invoice and ask for the customs inspection number so you can ring aqis and check the details as to why it was inspected.
if you are under $1000 and there is no aqis sticker on your package they "won't be able to find it" and will waive the fee.
easy way around it is DONT USE DHL...

"If the invoice was not sent in error, could you please send me a copy of the AQUIS tariff advice, together with any legal documentation that confirms I am required by law to pay a tariff, even when the package has been delivered without notification of the existence (or cost) of tariffs for that package. In this instance, if I had been notified that tariffs applied, I would not have accepted the package.
As I understand it, the AQUIS tariff for out-office package inspection is $90 per $30 minutes. For a package this size, a fee of $47.30 just doesn’t add up!
Cheers and thanks"
