Can you take the forks apart easy?

Is it a complicated (or even possible) process to disassemble the cast aluminium component that hold the axle on the front forks (sorry I don't know their technical name?)

I note they have a black plastic insert on the underside which corresponds with the end of the fork.

Thanks

Crispin

why?

ps. have a look under the black plastic insert and you'll fine your compression adjusters

Hey Crispin, you need to dis-assemble your forks completely & once you have top & bottom apart they just screw off. There are holes in the top of the inner tube to put a screwdriver through & clasp the axle clamp end in a vice. Use soft grips when re-assembling the new ones & a tight fit screwdriver in the holes atop the inner tube.( also helpful to have another person as they can be tight to undo )

If I can do it you can. let us know how you go

it take it they where ground like your bar ends.

what was the price of the new parts?

just bein nosey.
