Finished up a little more custom work on the 501. This is the chain guide that attaches to the swing arm.

Cut out speed hole in the mounting block.

Turned new guide wheels on the lathe and designed in sealed bearings instead of bushings.

Custom guide wheel mounting bars with speed holes.

Higher quality fasteners.

Nice work there! Be sure to update your successful mod or changes you make in the event it doesn't perform as expected. Again, well done modification!

Made some time to get the new front rotor bolts installed.

I found the correct rotor bolts on a 2001 Kawasaki KMX125.

Unfortunately, I had to drill and tap to make them work.

Very happy I had zero issues doing this by hand.

Little more work done before school started today. Smoothed and coated the fork ends.

This one was in process.

I decided to make all the wheel collars out of 7050 Al to replace the heavy :) steel ones.

Made my first one today. I know for a professional machinist it is no big deal, but I am still learning and had to start with square stock (the only 7075 in my area for reasonable price), make round, and build an arbor to turn this piece. The other 2 spacers will have their own custom arbors as well because all 3 spacers are different.

Very interested on Keihin FCR mounting...
I have a 1993 FE 350 i want to update with a Keihin carb.
What kind of problems you met??
Thanks

Husapavelo, he posted this earlier:

Having more money then time and correct tools plus the bike showing signs of bent valves I had Big Dave at Eaton Powersports (Husaberg Mechanic) do the top end. I then brought the bike for the carb upgrade work/jetting and De-comp to M-Tech.

Matt, owner of M-tech lathed the air filter side of the carb smooth and turned an adaptor piece to mate the carb to intake boot. The new adaptor flange was then epoxied on.

Hey guys! Sorry I have not had any updates in awhile. With full time school, 2 restorations and some motorcycle money making ideas going, my 501 time is nil.

However, I will share some projects I have been working on for feedback. Some of my ideas have been 3D printed and one is in Al testing phase. Obviously, I am not giving you detailed pics for a reason. Any and all comments welcome as usual.
