bmw has officialy bought husqvarna.
haven't seen anything on either bmw or husky sites yet but this was posted on TBM site

nice find kelsow.

so if i read it right bmw intend to do similar as VW/SEAT/audi do with their cars in that they have different brands for different consumer groups. ie husky for the younger/ sporty crowd and bmw for the well to do, established crowd.

looking forward to seeing the products as at least husky now seem to have firm financial backing rather than the somewhat wobbly finances of the past.

just need berg to pull it together now.

What about HBG and Husky under the same roof again?

Naaaawwww. Never happen.

Apparently, BMW offered to buy HSB from KTM 2yrs ago and were told to shove it.

Will Husqvarna move back to Sweden, will they ever be blue and yellow again?
questions, questions, questions.

exciting times indeed are ahead, for all dirtbike brands, be prepared for battle royale.

From what I read the will stay in nortern Italy. But who knows what the future will bring. I am wondering what it will be like for the dealers. How involved will BMW get with the brand? Like you said, "questions, questions, questions"

It´s a win-win situation for everyone!

BMW is very serious about expanding their model-line up,
but what BMW is NOT having: a real offroad-dealernetwork

On the other hand dedicated Offroad Dealers have Husqvarna in their line-up,
but are often afraid of selling them because of bad service and parts-availabilty...(italian company)
It can only become better with the new mother

What BMW did actually? They bought a worldwide (existing)dealernetwork,
I don´t think that any of the existing Husky-dealers quit because of better service

So, let´s see what will happen within the next years
