Hey steve sounds like a plan i will just have to check my diary and get back to you will let you know in the next couple of days. Sounds like a fair bit of interst which is good lets keep it going.
I get my bike back today so i better get some practice in i suppose!

Hey steve i just checked the calender and i think you have your dates wrong the 7/8 of May is a monday tuesday, the 5/6 is the saturday and sunday. I would be able to go on th 5/6 but not the 12/13th let me know?

Hi pids,

Yep, I marked my calendar correctly, but somehow..........

So 5/6 May it is for pids and I and anyone else interested, to go to Louee and do a recce.

I finally found the Louee web site here http://www.louee.net.au/
Lots of info re riding, accomodation, etc, everyone should have a look.

Force Oz 2008 riders need to let wildman know they are interested in Easter, March 2008 ASAP and let your dealer know this is coming up, even if you are not going to get there yourself.

pids and I will talk to Tom at Louee and sort that end out. I plan on floating a rider count of about 50 as an ambit claim. Ambitious/hopeful?

pids, call me to sort out travel etc. I'm waiting for a call back from Louee re re 5/6, as that still needs to be confirmed.

FYI
Louee is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday of 2007.

Louee is also open every Public Holiday and Every Day of the NSW Public School Holidays in April, July and October.

Louee will also open on other weekdays for groups over 10 Adult riders. More than 7 days notice is required.

Louee open times are
8.00 am to 5.00 pm Saturday and Sunday.
9.00 am to 5.00 pm all other days.

so 5/6 May should be OK but I'll book pids and I in ASAP

Steve

Everyone needs to check out the link to "Louee" Steve posted for more info. Next thing is book your holidays for around Easter next year.....then PM me straight away so we know if we're wasting our time or not ?

So far there's me, Steve & bajar !! No dealers are going to throw any support behind this with out some idea of numbers for their time & money. At best they might let you put a sign in the window.

Please let me know asa you can work out the dates if you're even remotely interested in coming. The idea has generated great support but now needs to be followed through on,
to get to the next stage.

Cheers,
Wal

Hi All,

Emailed ADB tonight regarding ADB support and coverage of 2008 'Force' Ride, may I suggest that we all concurr to change the name of the thread to '2008 Australia Force Ride', in case any outside parties come looking for it? and maybe Schwim may allow us to have it as a sticky item for a while?? Please Json???

Email...>
Andy, Mr Wigan,

I have been trying to get contact with Brett Woods (I Know Brett's old man) , to see if he may present this matter to yourself and ADB staff to see if some interest can be raised and ultimately some ADB Magazine coverage achieved.

I am writing on behalf of the Australian Members of Husaberg.org, being members at www.husaberg.org/ , whom, collectively are plotting and planning the largest gathering of Husaberg, owners, riders and enthusiasts to ever occurr in this great country.

The proposal at present is in negotiation for a long weekend of riding, good company, and the usual hijinx to take place at Louee Park, NSW, during the long weekend of Easter 2008.

At this point the proposed ride has attraced some interest from our overseas members from the US and potentially the UK.

the organisation is also seeking support from Husaberg Australia and Berg Dealers around the Country to make the ride a roaring success.

I hope you see fit to float the idea amongst your colleagues at ADB, and I look forward to any further correspondence with you on behalf of ADB.

Thankyou for your consideration, please feel free to contact me on mobile <mobile No>, email either <email address>, or <work email> or phone after hours at home on <home No> (south Aust), and I would be happy fill you in on any available info you require.

Sincerely

Aaron Wilksch
for and on behalf of Husaberg .org (Australia).

Lets see what happens!

Azza.

Good point awilksch ( I can almost type that now without going to check it's right :) ) about the title.

Schwin did say as soon as the Moab ride was over we could borrow the space but that name change seems logical. You've a hidden talent azza with the wording. Thanks for that. As soon as we have a better idea of numbers I can email Norm at Husa Aus & see what we get from there.

8 peeps going so far :)

Looks like West Coast Trailbike Safari's are going to make the trip with a couple of blokes from WA. Apparently, KTM did a bike release promo at Louee last year that got rave results so Husaberg Aus know how good the venue is. John ( WCTBS ) is going to plant the seed with them about it & let me know how it goes before I start asking for stuff, but he was confident.

If anyone has got a photo that may be suitable for the front of a flyer about the ride please put it forward. I'll start having a look at putting a window poster together that can be displayed in bike shops.

Cheers,

Wal

Hey Wal,
Just checked dates for Easter 2008 weekend of 22 & 23 March 2008,
What dates are we looking at?

Cheers
Bajar

Hey bajar,

I would expect to book accomodation there for the Fri,Sat & Sunday nights (21st-23rd March ) That would give us a 4 day ride timetable. Everyone will have pretty well had enough by then I would imagine.

Can anyone throw some information up on what to expect weather wise down there at that time of year. As everyone will have their own preferences for accomodation I wouldnt expect that to be in the package we organise. As this is the first year I reckon we keep it as simple as possible ( ie: book your own accom ) as some guys will tent it & others may bring the family & want a roof over their heads. We would only include the basic's, being covering the cost of the 4 days riding charges. It is $40 per day for the riding fees.

I might ring them next week & see what we can organise as I just noticed that track preference is given to people staying at the complex.

Cheers :)

Hey Wal, (sounds like Gaywal doesn't it!)

Norm Bromley from KTM/HUSABERG australia will definately come to the party with some promo gear, shirts, jumpers and banners etc after I forwarded your latest email. So you blokes (and chicks if there are any) get your dates and numbers sorted so we can get this underway.

I have some Husaberg stuff too that can become available for the event, like big banners, stickers etc. Need to ensure you get the venue booked though, as i'd think it'd be pretty popular over easter.

Anyhow, looks like there is a fair bit of interest, and gonna make a great annual event, that should grow and grow. Us Husaberg riders are "the Force to be reckoned with" and dare to be different!

later, STAINO (Westcoast Trailbike Safaris) PS; Wal, answer your phone!

A little dissapointed...........

Good to see this going ahead guys........

Just a little disappointed that Louee was decided upon as a venue, when there are what I consider so many better venues out there......

I'm sure any potential international visitors or even some Aussies would probably rather see some of the real Australia (Murray Sunset, Cape York etc) than be restricted by the confines of a ride park like Louee.

However, I understand the logistics of organising such a ride, and the fact that Louee simplifies matters signifigantly.

If we get any international riders participating, I will put up the offer of a supported ride out through the Murray Sunset after the official ride, so as to give them a glimpse of the real Australia.

This is not intended to conflict with the official ride, just make it a bit more tantalising for any of our Euro/American friends to organise a Aussie holiday/bike transport for a good look at Australia.

Your doing well fella's, keep it up !! :)

Cheers,
AUSBERG

RE: A little dissapointed...........
