Okay, just talked to BP219. Got prices of the lodging, and put together a rough cost for this trip, in case anyone needs to know...

When calculating, I did not consider travel expenses and food during travel, as this will be different for everyone, so you can figure in these numbers yourself. My calculations start when we get to the Hotel thursday, and leave the trailhouse Sunday Morning.

Also, the Trailhouse sleeps 11 tight, the cabin sleeps 6 tight, for a total of 17. I ran my numbers based on around 15 people showing up. The total people showing are, at the smallest 13, largest 22. So, we will need to know, so Rob can bring the camper to accomodate the remainder.

Botton line cost, about $180/person. This does not include beer, t-shirts, parts, post cards, tampons, etc...

Trailhouse - $135/night
Cabin - $70/night for 2 people, $5/extra person, so $90/night.
Super 8 (thursday night)- $80/night 5 dudes/room, $70/night 4 dudes
Gas for bike - $25/the weekend
Riding Permit - $37.10/4 days
Food - $35/day

Okay:
Lodging adds up to around $716 total for everyone. $716/15 dudes is around $48/person.

$48 lodging
$37 permit
$25 gas
$70 food
--------------
$180 total

I say we go out Friday night for dinner. Saturday we could to the shrimp on the barby deal at the trailhouse, save some loot, hang out, drink beers, eat some chili (someone has to fill in for Bobzilla!)

The more people, potentially the more cost cause of an extra room at the hotel. I certainly think we should be democratic about it and split the cost per person. I don't care where I sleep, if it becomes an issue, I'll sleep in a tent, I just don't want to get eaten by bears!

Hope this gives ya'll a better idea. Adjust numbers accordingly.

having trouble understanding which is best trailhouse. any suggestions???

need one for 6

other then that we are good to go!

Parsko,
As far as your star alignment dance for Berger, put your clothes back on and get in the house before you get arrested !
And don't worry about the bears, it's the locals you should worry about !

We've always stayed at Browning Fork Trailhouse.

yeah but BP said that they're full up, so that doesn't help him any.

Josh, I've never been, so I can't tell you what's the best, but have you checked out the lodging page at http://www.trailsheaven.com ? They've got quite an extensive list.

[EDIT]got off of my lazy butt and found the exact link for the lodging on the site.[/EDIT]

thanks,

Jedi...lodging.

Jedi,
As far as places to stay, that is why myself, Skunk, and Parsko are trying to get a final headcount. The whole idea is for all of us to be in one place if possible to maximize riding together and bench racing, as well as helping each other out, etc.
If you need a place to stay for Thursday night, that's why I took the time to call Super 8 a few days ago and they had 5 rooms left for that night, the phone # is listed in a recent prior post.
As far as the trailhouse/cabin, as stated in a prior post, we can sleep a total of 17. If we have more persons than that, then that is why we need to know if Skunk needs to bring his camper. The idea is part of the Ohio crew will use the camper.
I just got off the phone with Marty from Browning Fork Trailhouse, the cabin and trailhouse #2 are still ours. Trailhouses #1 and #3 are booked, he will call me if there is a cancellation.
Jedi, if you and your group don't want to stay with that many folks, that's OK and understandable, you won't hurt our feelings . If you need me to, I can call Marty and find out which would be the best place to stay in close proxsimity.

LODGING FOR ALL !

The cabin and the trailhouse we already have booked will sleep a max of 17 people. If we need the pop-up camper a total of 21.
It looks like we have enough room for eveyone who is planing on coming. Is that OK with everyone ?

If you need a place to stay for Thursday night call the Super 8 in Logan, WV, the phone # is in an earlier recent post.

Has anyone noticed how many people have viewed this post! If it goes well I imagine next year should be HUGE!

Just got off the phone with the Super 8 in Logan,WV and Browning Fork Trailhouse in Gilbert,WV.

Super 8 rooms are $59.00 + tax. As of right now (July 26th @ 2:45 pm est.) they have three rooms left.

The cabin at Browning Fork is $60 a night for two people and $5 extra per head for more than two people + tax.

Trailhouse #2 is $100 a night (for Fri.'s & Sat.'s) and $5 extra per head + tax.

Brian,

I'm not sure what Jedhi has figured out. I know that he was playing phone tag with a couple of the places where he was trying to get accomodations. I can't get through to him right now. I think I might call the Super 8 and book an extra room just to be safe. I am going to try to call you today. My cell number is 506-650-5555

I just called the Super 8 and booked the last 2 rooms for Thursday night just in we need them. They said we can cancel them if necessary right up to 4pm on Thursday

AWESOME!!!

Way to be lookin' out Coffin. Did you talk to BP? Ever get a line on that address? I tend to like to do most of the driving so I was just wondering where I should be headed. Everyone else may be asleep, or pre-occupied with our SUPAFLY DVD system in the van.<---joke
