Hi ,

Has anyone done this conversion and did you have any issues once it was done ..... I am not unhappy with the
250 but the 300 conversion kit is a very tempting prospect .

Its a standard HuSABERG POWER PART and they say " bolts straight on mate " which may be the case but does
it cause any issues once back on the trail , ongoing jetting problems , gearbox issues etc ...

Thnaks in advance for those that take the time to respond.

Cheers form down under.

I had mine changed over before it left the showroom and it works great. I'm just going from memory but the carb does have another slide, 42 pilot, 170 main, Suzuki NEZJ needle, Red spring, flush dolly, with an FMF Stealth muffler. I run technical Eastern US woods and it a very wide powerband with lots down low but not much different at extreme top end. Good luck

Thanks CMS sounds like you have a trick 300 a couple of questions if thats OK ,

Why the FMF silencer , was that a desire or require ?

Flush Dolly means the brass screw right ?

Cheers

I went with the FMF for better flow but also a quiet bike. In addition it is a forestry approved spark arrestor for when I ride out west on federal land. As for the dolly, it is the adjustment for the power valve on the right side of the engine. When the adjuster is flush with the last thread it seems to work best for me. Stock it was rideable in the woods but these mods were offered to me from our dealer guru here at Five Star Cycles who works very closely with the factory.

For the two stoke lovers out their , just finished this conversion and did not have one issue , hassle or problem . Everything went together like a dream and the bike started first kick , the jetting seems ok , fuel consupmtion has stayed about the same so i am happy as a pig in **** ...

Now riding the bike is the reward , the bottom and mid range power is brilliant compared to the 250 as you would expect , it seems to put the power to the ground without having to push hard like a 250 , can be ridden mid throttle and will handle anything you come accross , give it a twist and it will pull and respond even from what i would consider low RPM for a 2 banger. Slip the clutch and welcome to mono heaven .

Anybody with a 250 that is in need of a fresh top end consider this mob you wont regret it , the kit is a complete top end except the little end bearing ( dont know why they do that ) even has a new CDI .. :bounce3:
