anyone running a scotts or gpr steering stabilizer...
The gpr is reasonably cheaper but some say the scotts is best choice....
gpr is around 400$ scotts +- 460$
The scotts has more adjustability but is only available in gold I would prefer a more subtle black stabilizer like you could get with gpr...
I don't want my bars much higher than they are so I would choose top mount for scott = same bar height, gpr can only fit below bars but rises not to much (only 10mm compared to 25mm sub mount from scotts)

Just had a pretty big crash....
Very stupid completely my own fault first of all it was way to much wind today to ride (windspeeds around 50 km/h).
Second mistake I had an apointment that was almost impossible to get there in time had 25 min to get there and it's a 40 minute ride....
Getting late was not an option because it closed after that time and I am never able to get there sooner or I have to take a day of...
So was pushing to hard and in a fast left corner the wind suddenly pushed my bike to the right going to wide I was in 5th gear and as soon I missed the apex by more than a meter I knew I was in trouble the last moment before I was going to get on the grass I had the reflex to stand up on the pegs and jump as high I could....
(after the grass there was a ditch about 2 m wide).
My bike hit the ditch head on and did a flip and cam to a stop just across the ditch on a farmers land I was laying a little further.

Result the bikes/triple clamps/handlebars are pointing left when the front wheel is in the middle and some mud/scratches+ it seems like even the tank is offcenter....
I landed on my head/right shoulder and I think I hit the handlebars or something with my upper right leg....
Have trouble breething properly (still after almost 4 hours) my vision was blurry for 2 hours my shoulder hurts and have a bump on my shin + my leg feels like i was ran over by a truck....
Lucky for me no broken bones took a long warm bath and I hope to get to work tommorow and hope the bike isn't damaged to badly it took a big hit....
Wheels are still straight and the bike runs fine but the handlebars are just REALY crooked I got it back home on adrenaline/slow pace :p

what doesn't kill you makes you stronger or is it just the price I pay for being a *******...
I am more concerned about my bike for the moment:(
Didn't get any sleep because I have a little trouble breathing and hurtin...
Will be over in a couple of days I guess:rolleyes:
I will check my bike tomorrow evening hope it's just the t clamps that moved and my forks are not bent:rolleyes:

Ohhhhh, thats gotta hurt! Get well soon mate!
Got that in another situation and I almost fainted, got a body shock, so I dig!

50 shades of blue lol
I just looked at the bike and after loosening all the bolts in the front and twisting and pulling a bit it looks like everything is still pretty straight.
Unbelievably tough bikes this....
Testdrive is for later still pretty beat up.

Damage report :
left side:
The left radiator has 2 metal tubes in front of it one has a bent in it radiator itsel is fine (and you can't see its bend when you mount the plastic protectors in front of it).
Right side:
right radiator shroud is scuffed and cracked in the middle (where the hole is ).
Some marks on the header /footpeg/axle crash protectors/light muffler marks and the tail is marked and where the frame protectors cover the exhaust header it is melted against the exhaust.

The handlebars not sure if they are bend I think the front wheel/forks took the first/biggest impact but they look fine now....
The bar clamps where moved and the little groove to keep them centered is a little damaged.
The right handguard was pointing up and my brake master cylinder the lever was pointing up and reservoir bracket bend....
But everything is bend/twisted back into place....

I got off reasaonbly cheap;)
And because it didn't hit tarmac the marks are all pretty light;)

While I was busy getting parts of my bike checking for damage I mounted the jd jetting kit and I will order some new shrouds in the future in the meantime I will get my back plastics back on it :p

Well my bruised leg hurts a little to walk and my neck is still a little stiff but that's the least of my concern sure I will be fine...
My right shoulder is also feeling a little better but I am worried I might feel this for a long time I once broke my left shoulder and I can still feel it now my left is my best one for the moment:p
I still can't take deep breaths but it's getting better tonight I could already get some sleep (2 nights before I didn't)

I wanted to start my bike for the 1st time since I installed the jetting kit...
bike fired up was on for only 2-3 secs and now I can not get it started again...
I got the plug out and it was a little black try a new one next week...
I also tryed staring with the jetting kit disconnected but I do'nt think that is the problem all the lights from the unit are working as described in the manual....

feeling better got out for a little ride yesterday....
JD jetting kit installed the bike starts way better now it almost runs before you touch the starter button:p
But I am not to happy about the way the bike performs for the moment....
Fuelling feels not good and before rebuild the bike was much better more torque and much smoother pulling wheely's from down low the revs in 3th without even trying to hard towheely...
Now in 3rd bike stays planted only goes up ith more revs full throttle/pulling bars...
Maybe the powerband moved more up and it still has +60 bhp but I prefereed the feeling of the bike before so smooth/predictable power...
The end of this month it gets tuned on dyno hopefully this wil be a big difference if not I probably put a stock piston back next winter:p
