Hope someone can help me, with the valve timing set up, need to know where to line up timing marks, just bought this bike as a non runner, found the timing tensioner guide has come adrift, nut come off broke the rocker cover and possibly knocked out timing as it won't start.

Hi all.
Timing chain snapped in my 650.
No damage to piston or head, Valves and everything ok but when the chain broke it punched a home in the valve cover. This was between the cam chain and gear at the top. No idea what it is.
Any gurus know what it is? Help much appreciated :)
