Hi All This might sound lazy, but i have a ride coming up reeeeeeeeel soon and the coolant weep hole is telling me to change the shaft seal. There seems to be no water in the oil, so is it possible to change only the front seal ( not cracking the side cover) and fix it. thanks

Kawasaki Part#92049-0104 This seal, being used by some as a replacement of the OEM, is double-lipped and 5mm deep vs 4mm of the stock. Does anyone know if the extra depth of the seal will block off the weep hole inlet? Thanks. Steve

I'm doing my regular maintenance on my 2005 fs650e. I have always installed the water pump seal with the spring on the inside. I have never had any leaking problems. I read somewhere that the spring on the seal should be facing the impeller. Just wondering how everybody else installes them...
