Any of you had any luck replacing valve seals without pulling the head to compress the spring? Needing to do them on both our bikes. Mine (the wife) 09 Fe450, & his 16 Fe501s (husky).
Basically looking to see if anyone has had success with the "on bike" spring compressors. If so, which 1's.
Hi all
Got a 2002 FE650 that started getting a lot of oil coolant in the engine oil. Thinking I should replace the water shaft seal (maybe one of those fancy jobs Taffmeister has?). I was surprised when I took the clutch cover off, and there was another seal on the inside! Look at the pics to...

So, I busted a fork seal again after 1.5 seasons (WP forks on a 2010 FE450). Replacing with SKF seals this go-around, and also bought the SKF mud scrappers, as I mostly ride enduros in difficult conditions.
Any tips on extending the life of your seals; stanchion cleaning routines and...
There are already several threads about this, kudos to the authors!
Just thought Id publish the photos from this session.
To change the water seal (ie if coolant is coming out the weep hole) its a fairly small job, it can be done without removing the engine cover, just the housing needs...

Looks like I have a slight oil leak from the countershaft (output shaft). Behind the sprocket there's a spacer, O ring and a seal. Anyone know if the seal be changed with the engine in situ without splitting the cases? The OEM service manual isn't very specific. Cheers!

Sorry for beating the dead horse, this is my first post and a long one(sorry in advance). I just bought this bike last week went for 2 small rides and I was amazed how snappy and responsive the bike is, already in love with the thing but sadly also already having issues.

Hallo
My bike is Husaberg FE650-02 and I wonder if anyone know the size for front Wheel bearing seals ?
I still have the analogue speedo drive so it is two different seals for left and right side.
(Axle size is 20 mm in diameter).
Original part number 350009/350011.
Thanks
Robert

So, going in again to change the pump seal and have a question about how deep to send it into the cover.
Do I need to only drive the seal until it's flush with the cover, or until it seats against the oil seal?
Last time I did this, via 3 seals later, I managed to seat the seal flush with...
hello! First oil change after rebuild revealed a little grey oil. My guess It's the waterpump seal. Because it deformed a little bit while i installed it. It was a really tight fit and the metal seal was a little bent. I'm wondering if its possible to use ktm water pump seal. Dimension of my...
