Hi chaps! Just another new member saying HI I picked up my '05 FE550e on Saturday 8O My previous bike was a DRZ400 (a very underrated bike), among others.
I did 130k's on Sunday on the new beast, and just have not stopped raving since 8O On the test ride it felt far more "at home" than any EXC or WR I ever rode, and this impression was bourne out on Sunday big time  I even ended up towing another bike back that was having mechanical troubles - take that, VOR 8)
Anyway, here's a couple of links to pics from the first of many rides with this awesome machine.

I never knew a bike could be this good. Really. Changes lines, flicks, controllable power, handles...
Luvin it!
p.s. The dealer I bought it off, R&M Motorcycles in Coffs Harbour, NSW Australia, is by far the best and most enthusiastic dealer I've come across. Not only did he let the bike sell itself, he bent over backwards to get the bike ready quickly and set it up specially for me and is sending a smaller sprocket free of charge, not to mention all the setup effort he went to with free or cost price bashplate etc... I guess that's what you get for having an "enthusiast's bike", you get an enthusiast dealer which is worth it's weight in gold
