I will get you a number soon.I can think of a possible 6-8 riders.

Alright lads.....the World Enduro rounds are done I have only been back from the 2007 dealer event for 2 days but I'm already getting pumped up to head to the Widow Everett Lodge for another adventure.

I'd like to start getting re-confirmation on who is coming and I will start to get you some details. I will definitely be building my grass track again and you will have as much woods riding as you can take. This is a great place to hang out for the weekend and you are sure to be happy you went.

Cheers

I have had a number of those who committed to go ask me this week if it is still on. I will get a head count and names in the next few days and report to you...nsman
For sure Myself ,Billtech,D.Hoyt....Kelsow,Jadhusa,Chowhauler,Ford832,Steveyboy and the others I will get the final OK.

Sign me up!I can't wait to get Billtech on that grasstrack

At this moment we have five riders who have said they will attend.I am still waiting for the rest to reply.

Great stuff nsman.

Hey Jedi.......will you or have you talked to Frank already?

I'm still waiting to see if the wife will be on course in Toronto that weekend.
Till then, Google Maps has 650 kms from HFX to Plaster Rock. I think the place is north east of PR.
Any thought's on how to get everyone there and what day the travelling would be done?

My trailer could take 3 but 2 would be best.

I was just talking to nsman and he gave me the heads up you needed confirmation.

Count me in.

My bike is in Lantz (near Halifax airport), those of us travelling from this general area (NS) should get our transportation organised.

Sorry guys but I've got to bail.I've got a family commitment I can't get clear of without incurring huge amounts of wrath.D'oh.And no nsman,it's not because it's my anniversary  I got clear of that-well,I had anyway.Maybe next year :(

That sucks Ford but I understand how family obligations can screw up a perfectly good ride!

I was looking forward to roosting you....I mean...meeting you :D

Cheers

Widow Everett Coffin Run - Update

Gents,

Were getting close so I thought I would share some information. Here is the rough agenda:

Friday, Sept 8th
I will be at the site all day preparing the grass track and getting things in order. If any of you Scotians can get away early on Friday, you are welcome to come relax and put up your feet up or you can help me drive stakes in the grass track and run ribbon if you like. This place is fully equipped so we can fire up the BBQ and do some bench racing Friday evening. I know that nsman may not get away until later in the day and may not arrive until late Friday night. I would suggest coming earlier if you can.

Saturday, Sept 9th
Breakfast followed by as much time on the grass track as you can take. We will probably have lunch first and then head out for some trail riding. There are endless trails in the area so we can ride for as long as the group wants. After the trail ride, you can spend as much time as you like on the grass track again....before/after dinner. Saturday evening will be a relaxing time around the campfire with beverages and bench racing. If we are lucky, we might see the Northern Lights like we did last year.

Sunday, Sept 10th
You can ride in the morning if you are up to it and then depart at your leisure. I suspect the Scotians will want to head out by early afternoon to avoid getting home at midnight.

It appears that we will have a few 2007 FEs for you guys to use and abuse. We should also have a 380 for you to try...you get your wish nsman!

You will need nothing in terms of sleeping arrangements as all of the cabins are equipped with comfy beds, full kitchens, etc.

You will need your bikes, gear, gas cans and appropriate clothing for this time of year (i.e. jacket for around the campfire, etc) You should also stock up on the appropriate beverages and food items.

I will add to this list as I think of more things. Please post any questions you may have.

There is a link to a map from Fredericton to Riley Brook at the bottom of this post. Basically you head to Plaster Rock. Once there you turn left at the Irving and get on the 385 towards Everett and Riley Brook. It is roughly 25 km from the Irving in PR to Barrett Lane which will be on your right. If you end up in Riley Brook you have gone too far.

Here is the address:

Riley Brook
Widow Everett Lodge
31 Barrett Lane Everett, Riley Brook, NB E7G 1C6

With the beautiful Tobique River passing peacefully past its doorsteps, Widow Everett Lodge is truly a nature lovers escape. Nestled in the spectacular wilderness of the Tobique River Valley, Snowmobilers, ATV enthusiasts, Hunters and Anglers will be rewarded with an equally memorable experience. Other activities include Canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fiddleheading, golfing. Fuel and great food nearby. Rentals and guides available upon request.

RE: Widow Everett Coffin Run - Update

The location and the plans sound like they will be awesome. Too bad for me as I will be continuing the physio on my knee which resulted from an unplanned dismount last Thursday. I will especially miss the opportunity to try out an 07 450. Thanks for the invite hopefully everyone else has a great time.

Joel

That is too bad Joel...maybe next year.

So what does that leave us with for Scotians nsman? You, Billtech, Hoyt, Jadhusa & Kelsow? Ford & Joel are out and I think Kelsow was not 100%. I sure hope you can come Rob.

It looks like we may have some other "mystery" riders from Nova Scotia and British Columbia. I will leave you guys to figure that one out on your own. In total we should have 12-14 people.

I think whitney Levy and "Ryan the roadracer" are on board as well.I got my own 380 kit the other day...just have to choose a donor bike from inv.

So that would be 7 in your group including Kelsow but minus Ford & Chowhauler?
