Widow Everett Coffin Run - Update
Gents,
Were getting close so I thought I would share some information. Here is the rough agenda:
Friday, Sept 8th
I will be at the site all day preparing the grass track and getting things in order. If any of you Scotians can get away early on Friday, you are welcome to come relax and put up your feet up or you can help me drive stakes in the grass track and run ribbon if you like. This place is fully equipped so we can fire up the BBQ and do some bench racing Friday evening. I know that nsman may not get away until later in the day and may not arrive until late Friday night. I would suggest coming earlier if you can.
Saturday, Sept 9th
Breakfast followed by as much time on the grass track as you can take. We will probably have lunch first and then head out for some trail riding. There are endless trails in the area so we can ride for as long as the group wants. After the trail ride, you can spend as much time as you like on the grass track again....before/after dinner. Saturday evening will be a relaxing time around the campfire with beverages and bench racing. If we are lucky, we might see the Northern Lights like we did last year.
Sunday, Sept 10th
You can ride in the morning if you are up to it and then depart at your leisure. I suspect the Scotians will want to head out by early afternoon to avoid getting home at midnight.
It appears that we will have a few 2007 FEs for you guys to use and abuse. We should also have a 380 for you to try...you get your wish nsman!
You will need nothing in terms of sleeping arrangements as all of the cabins are equipped with comfy beds, full kitchens, etc.
You will need your bikes, gear, gas cans and appropriate clothing for this time of year (i.e. jacket for around the campfire, etc) You should also stock up on the appropriate beverages and food items.
I will add to this list as I think of more things. Please post any questions you may have.
There is a link to a map from Fredericton to Riley Brook at the bottom of this post. Basically you head to Plaster Rock. Once there you turn left at the Irving and get on the 385 towards Everett and Riley Brook. It is roughly 25 km from the Irving in PR to Barrett Lane which will be on your right. If you end up in Riley Brook you have gone too far.
Here is the address:
