I've got HUSABERG FE450 2008 and I don't know which coolant is best to use.

I've checked owners manual but didn't find answer

please help me ;]

I found on ebay: MOTOREX COOLANT M5.0 or M3.0 and I don't know which buy

thanks for help

I have a 2010 FX 450 that was new to me a few months back. I went in to my local KTM dealer and they only had 3.0 on the shelf.
The manual doesn't say 3.0 vs 5.0, so I put the 3.0 in. It just says "Motorex coolant". I have since read about the 5.0, so I have that on order.
What do the silicates in the coolant actually do?

My question is if the 3.0 is going to do any damage in the short term? I have only ridden it around the neighborhood when the roads were dry. It snows a lot where I live.
The 5.0 will be in there before I do any real riding in the spring.

Non of the them is good for husa works on a warm country . Fan will be open all the time and if you have not fan temp will be over 110 c .

I have been using Evans coolant. Won't boil out. Have never overheated. Coolant in the machine is better than none no matter how hot it is. There is a fan on the machine too. 2007 FE550.

I use the same over 20 years with a 2 bar cap and an extra radiator ground wire to avoid electrolysis .Its the best of the best .

Hi,

Mixing of coolants is generally a big no no. If you know what is in your bike already, stay with it, if not then completely flush the whole system and refill with one type only.

Motorex 3 (Green) coolant 3.0 is "OAT" ( Organic Acid Technology) coolant without silicates.
  • For use in engines recommending a silicate free anti-freeze.
  • Ready-to-use radiator protection based on ethylene glycol.
  • Excellent protection against frost, corrosion, lime scale deposits and overheating for all modern engines.
  • Already mixed with water.
  • Free of silicates, nitrates, amines and phosphates (OAT technology).
  • Compatibile with all standard commercial seals and radiator hoses.
  • Cold protection down to -33°C.
  • Replaces Coolant G30
It is important to know that OAT does not protect copper and brass system components.

Motorex 5 (Blue)
FEATURES
  • Ready-to-use coolant is ready-mixed anti-freeze free of nitrites, phosphates and amines; based on ethylene glycol
  • Meets the strict requirements of various manufacturers of modern, high-performance engines
  • Provides excellent all-year protection against corrosion for all metals and alloys in cooling systems of internal combustion engines
  • Compatible with standard commercial seals, hoses, elastomers and plastics
  • High chemical stability
  • Protects against overheating
  • A maximum service life of three years
  • Can be stored in air-tight containers for up to five years
  • Cold protection down to -33°C
All in all, both work, personal choice. I use Motorex 5 in my 2012 FE390 and have done 5000klms round trip across the Simpson Desert in 3 weeks, no issue.

Motorex 5 is slightly cheaper $22 vs $25 - MX Store

Trust this helps.
