No, I'm not on about Donald Duck Trump, I'm on about a customer I have had.

he asked for the bits for a rebuild and when he'd finished the mains went in what he reckoned was 6 hours use.

I was tasked with rebuilding it but i was to cut corners here and there etc. first thing I found were bog-stock $15 ball mains.

anyway, this bloke has had his wife walk out on him with his kid. he earns a fortune and has tons of toys and lives in a peter pan world.

anyway, I said piston and re-lined liner were required. 'no' he said 'just rings'.

anyway, upon starting it, it puffed like Billy would be proud of!

said bike was taken home and within 24 hours I had a warranty claim for a poor rebuild due to" the drain bung being left loose".

I said get it here, I'll cover any costs for my poor workmanship. investigation showed that it wasinfact the clutch cover that was loose (2004) and not the drain bung. so we started one of mine up and after loosening the cover to the same degree his was and proved that the oil HAD to scald the riders leg and that infact the bike had been deliberately sabotaged for the claim.

"OK (fair cop)" said the owner " let's get the piston and liner done this time".

Peter Pan would be proud of him.

A smart operator wouldn't go there.

The operator with less smarts wouldn't warranty where he went that being smarter should have known to avoid.

Then there is this lesser operator who makes unfounded judgements on his customers and posts them on a forum.

Aye Cobber?
