Wheel axle & speedo FE600

Hi all,

I have a WP Extreme fork from a Fe600 (might from 1998, not sure) that I will install on a Suzuki DR800

It came with wheel axle and 2 spacers on it, one steel and one aluminium, similiar thickness, same i.d.

My axle is 17mm

Now I need to buy front wheel and caliper/bracket as well as a new dashboard (maybe Trailtech, but I also like DRZ400 one with mechanical speedo drive)but I cannot understand if my axle is the one matching speedometer drive or not.

From spare parts catalogue there are 2 axles for FE600, how can I determine which one I have?

Thanks!

I have the adaptor bracket for that fork leg to take the Ducati SL caliper if this is any good. if it was still to be a Husaberg I also have the 320mm disc with the correct offset etc

@jampe: thanks I know the codes but I am unable to spot whether my axle is first or second...

@taffy: will this setup work with 21" wheel? I thought 4 pot calipers only fit SM 17" wheel. In case, I am interested. Any picture?

Thanks both

Nice setup! I am definitely interested, pm me with your best offer!
I am still missing the front wheel even though I assume any ktm/berg wheel with 17mm axle from same period would fit, right?
Ktm wheels are much easier ro find here

KTM wheels up to and inccluding 2001.
Husabergs up to and including 2002.

yes the wheels swop

how much for what? you haven't said what you want yet?

BTW, it took me about 6-hours work to get it right. I had to have the wheel spacer made again at the end, bolts shortened. getting the correct offset of the disc is important. everything misses everything by a fraction.

having the correct disc next time will help. but as i say, the Ducati pads then thumped the pins so I had to find another pad that wasn't as high top to bottom. they make a pad for the little KTMs!

you haven't said what you want yet, I try not to do business here on the site.

Understand, I thought you were just offering used parts which is common on forums.
Anyway I would need caliper mount for sure. And wheel spacers would be welcome . I have spares ducati calipers so no need for them.
Plus eventually the disk, even though I might find it here knowing correct part number
Pads I can also find them knowing for what ktm model
