Hi all,

I figured it would be interesting to have a discussion about what we all do for a living. There is a wide array of individuals here from all around the world, so we are lucky to have such diversity. It may be neat to get perspective on what other people's day-to-day looks like from different areas of the world. Of course, we all have Husaberg in common.

I'll start. I am a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineer that works in the Royal Canadian Air Force. We work closely with the USAF, RAF, and RAAF, so to my American, British, and Australian brethren: we may be worlds apart, but our countries are close.

Spoiler alert: my next topic was going to be about what it looks like out your front door. Again, it is interesting to see that some people will live inner-city while other will live in Nordic regions, some in the Desert, and some in the mountains. I don't have a photo at the moment, so that will have to wait.

Hi, I'm a plumbing and heating engineer specializing in oil fired (kerosene) boilers. This gets me out into the countryside a bit and onto farms (dairy) as most towns are on mains gas.
Before this i worked with youngsters with learning disabilities.
And many years ago worked in outdoor education, originally instructing canoeing, kayaking, climbing, abseiling, quad riding, trampolining etc.

Like the idea of "what's outside your front door" too.

Computer scientist! Lucky enough to be working with some rather gnarly computer vision technology invented by my colleagues during PhD studies.

Kinda regret not having taken more engineering classes or even a degree :)

I'll cheat - Here's a picture from out my front door taken in the '70s:

From a wonderful article by name of Was Reykjavík a ******** in the seventies? :) Sure was and still is :)

"Fiskbúð" means "fish shop". Same root word as "fish booth" :)

Registered domestic builder unlimited, so I get to sit behind a desk all day. Not as fit as I used to be when I was on the tools as a chippy.

My back yard, I have a few acres.

Wish I was a mechanic...::?

Exploration driller, I go into places nobody else wants to and search for mineral and energy resources, it's a living.

Looks like north of Kyneton smash101.

Interesting! And that other topic sounds good too, make it happen!

I'm a Web Developer at a design college. Our team develops all the web platforms needed for the college itself as well as some other projects from outside clients. I love what I do!

Nah, I'm in Balliang, half way between Bacchus marsh and Geelong. I test ride on the acres but it sends the horses crazy, we do most of our riding in the wombat.

Training Manager

I had to retire from a job where I rode a DR 400 all day looking for stolen motorcycles drug dealers on mopeds and people riding where they shouldn't be. I am now the manager of a motorcycle training company getting young and old onto two wheels. I love riding but struggle to find somewhere legal to ride off road within a couple of hours ride but hey I have my health and my bikes so I am fortunate. I take each day as it comes and know the only certainty in life is that one day I will die.
Ride safe and iften:D

I'm in the oil field (North Sea mostly) working as a well tester (exploration and clean ups), and with TCP perforating jobs. Former technical safety engineer for oil and gas.

I work in IT at a post-secondary institution (college/university). Mostly taking care of the computer lab environments for the electrical engineering, chemistry and radio/tv broadcast groups. It's a neat mix of computers and external equipment all tied together.

I live in suburbia, so I'm not going to bother posting any pics out my front door. But, this is British Columbia so I'm only minutes away from the ocean, lakes, mountains and coastal rain forest.

I'm jealous of those who can ride out of their back yard, but we do have some beautiful woods riding on the coast, until it gets shut down that is...

The interesting thing is that what "suburbia" looks like to you will be completely different from the views of another. For example, I did Google Street view of a town in California where I shipped some bike gear a while back. It looks like a different planet even though the "type" of neighbourhood is the same as mine. I'll guarantee that suburbia in BC will look different than suburbia in Poland (which will be different that suburbia in istanbul, etc.). That's the cool thing... what's normal to you is adventurous for somebody else.

Fun quest to point what you do, really :D

Currently Im a Ducati tech specializing in tuning mapping sorta thing, designing engines and make bikes go smooth and do what you tell them to.

Have been coding computer stuff for 15 years prior to that, thought it was time to come out
Did the tuning for ten years as hobby business prior shifting.
I have had many professions other than that, making Mc Gyver look fiddly :D Best summed up as a very busy imagination combined with little insight of when to stop.

I live in a nice small town in sweden where motorsports is very popular, tracks are just around the corner whatever style you like.

Sorroundings have lots to offer regarding bathing and lovely scenery.
A pic from my house, nothing special, leaves are just about to pop now so itll get much more green coming weeks.

Reason for hanging around here is a FE570 used for ice racing mainly but also trails riding for physical training, plus of course the great company of you guys!
Cheers!
