I'll start.

Race prepped for sunday.

new oil and filter
clean airfilter
trials tyre fitted
forks bled
numbers fitted
grips wired

ready to race !

(yesterday since I'm sitting at work now)

Finished wrapping header/mid pipe, zip tied off all vent tubes for new 70 degree tank, remounted header guard, cleaned air filter, tried to figure out how to raise/remount the computer so I can see it with my 2" bar risers (would love to see some pics or get some ideas on that one) and basically sat there in the garage and thought about what else I need to do to the bike while it's in parts before I get it all buttoned back up and get my new suspension mounted up...

Yesterday:
* Replaced the fuel injector
* Checked and shimmed the valves

Past week:
* Installed a temperature monitor
* Installed warranty replacement fuel pump assembly
* Went back to a stock height seat - Guts medium (in place of Guts tall)
* Removed KTM in-line filter and reinstalled the CanAm filter

Next week:
* Replace low fuel sensor and hope it fixes my low fuel light
* Put it all back together and hope it works

BlueDevil:
I raised my speedo with two small angle brackets. I bent them in a zig-zag so it moves the speedo forward about 1/2" and up about 1". My bars are raised about 30mm, so this worked out well. It also moved the wiring bundle further away from the Scotts steering stabilzer bolt.

two days ago:
warmed it up, left some posi marks in my lawn, beat the crap out of it for 15 minutes, drove up a big hill and then down a big hill then parked it

yesterday:
bought oil filter
beat the crap out it, 40 road miles, drove through a field,a short rock ditch and some real tall weeds (new shortcut)
tweaked my exhaust so the tire completely clears my new muffler (touched enough to leave a mark like a shoe in a hallway)

today:
looked at it
thought about beating the crap out of it and changing the oil
looked at it some more

tomorrow:
change the oil and filter
beat the crap out of it again, might even dump it once or twice, roost a guy riding a honda 400ex qaud for a couple hours (i told him to get a windsheild)
change the oil again

i am seeing a pattern here....

oh yea tomorrow will also change back to the 15/42 sprocket and chain at first oil change, they will stay there for winter..its getting cold here at freeway to autobahn speed
monday:
put liner in leather jacket
drop next months road insurance.......stupid insurance, probably beat on it some

DeeG - Do you have a pic of the angle brackets you used? What I lack in imagination I make up for with tenacity.

Past month
Replaced tank /rad wings & radiator with 06 ones. Added rad fan kit and 06 graphics on wings

Here is a top view of the speedo offset bracket. I haven't been able to get a decent side view.

Ah, ok, so you moved the whole light bracket then? I will tinker with that today and see what I can get away with...I can read the speedo if I lean forward but one of these days...

Thanks for the pic!

Charged the battery, removed the front number plate and re-installed the headlight in anticipation of taking it trail riding tomorrow.

raced it.

came tenth in the expert class of the ACU championship round. Not to bad considering it was very tight in the woods and more suited to a light 2 stroke.

The berg performed faultlessly :D

I fitted a new HD front tube - better than a mousee and never going back.
fitted a new rear tyre - a kings tyre and it was great. cheap and good.
new SKF fork seals, re-valved the forks for the 7th time.

after the race I now need new pads on the front and rear as they've been there a year
helicoil the top yoke as the friggen threads have gone.
re-wire the rear light as it nearly fell off.
try out my new 50 fork springs

regards

Taffy

I sat here at work on my fatigue management day off dreaming about riding, and ordered a 610 kit from thumper racing

:D but is it gonna make your bum look big or the site look healthy Bergsmlerg ?

found a crack in my handlebars, custom bent a new Chinese set in the press then went out for a quick blast came back with another 4.6 hours on the 700 engine meter

7 re-valves .... not touching that one

 Can anyone recommend what gearing I should run ? And where may I purchase a set of go fast square wheels ?

Pulled the side off me new mota to get at the kick start unit and prepped it ready for a little more machining to suit the Taffysledge.
The reason is wot pi**ing me, obviously not machined enough by ME at rebuild, but the reason I found out is the killa.....
Went to go for a ride with tha boys to show em how much beta tha rebuilt bike is and after flattening my battery trying to start it, I then tried kick starting it, 6 kicks later (it ALWAYS fires first kick) I looked for a problem........
Turn the Fruken KEY on you *******.
farkfarkfarkfarkfarkfarkfarkfarkfarkfarkfark.
Showed the rice jockeys how good a Berg is whilst still running in.
Give it sum love (an oil change) only to find very thin alloy shavings in the oil. farkfarkfarkfarkfark!
Realised only difference this ride was kickstarting it so........
Back to the first line of this post.

Just call me forest (stupid is as stupid does!).

I went and played in a swamp south of Snohomish, WA.

Knarly Hemilaian black berry and, well, swamp, wasn't realy that fun.

I charged a powerline road today, didn't go so well. Only glove damage though and I might need to re-jet.

The Berg Wheeled the whole way.

Is there anywhere to ride close by ?

ripped off the old rear disc last night, down to 2mm thick, has done about 10 000 clicks brakes in general in that condition were not handling the heat after about an hour, new disc on, new fluid,

noticed the bolts from the paddle fly outwards a good 30mm and hit the swing arm somwhere over 160

took it to mx track on saturday, I was quite surprised how it handled it really. Lets face it it was not designed for 80ft doubles and table tops but it was doing them quite well. :D
