i have my eye on another '02 470! if you are not busy in the big church in ely (cathedral!), can you refresh my memory on the most important '03 mods for this engine as the owner is claiming it is an 02 motor rebuilt as an 03. i was ready to leap on an 03 501 till i talked with the guy and asked him 3 times what regular maintenance he did, and he never mentioned adj. the valves.....
by the way, are you coming to utah? I hope to make it on a return trip from vegas where my navy son from mildenhall now works. don't know if i can bring a bike, but i can envision showing up for libations. would like to meet you guys . thanks, mikey mac p.s. all the cathedrals there will be called temples...lds :roll:

i'm starting to forget which year was which but according to my records which aren't hot; the '04's got the new rocker assemblies but all the '02's had to be uprated so i can't imagine why the '03's wouldn't come with the uprated rocckers!!!!

i know they stayed with the steel camwheel.

first year in austria.

me? i'd get the '03. the '02 was-on reflection-the year they cleared the crap out in sweden.

also they were giving the '02 470's away in the states for $2,500 dollars or something really cheap like that! so i wouldn't want to pay anything but bargain bucket for it!

as for the force ride-of course i'm going to be there! i've been offered lots of generous support by the UHE and i can't wait!

if you bring all your gear there are bikes around. by the fourth day they'll look 'rough 'n ready' and you'll get a ride.

bad news is that we'll be in the groove by then, our bodies in harmony with 'the force' and were gonna take you out into the middle of nowhere and lose ya!!!!!!! :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

sorry, just thinking aloud as usual-must see the doctor about that....
