how about someone getting one or two people together and doing some 30-60 second video clips for the doc?

we could do with:

good kickstart technique
how to put together the kickstart mechanism
pulling forks apart
the 'dead stop' method

anyone got a spare digi camera as mine was destroyed by cheeseberger at moab....

Taffy,

I have a digital video recorder that records to mini DVD's. If you would like to borrow it and the supplied image mixing software to make some vids let me know and I'll send it to you.

If Json or you could help me post some video stuff, I can do the kick start vids for a sem ignition bike, and a Kokusan ignition bike. I could also do a vid on valve adjustment, tire changing, oil changes, jet changes, carb R&R, bike washing, Fork and shock R&R as well.

I'll leave the dead stop method, fork disassembly, and Kick start mechanism to you!! :D

Fantastic idea!

I would help out but a video on looking at the bike saying WTF is wrong now wouldn't do anybody any good. :(

LMAO

daleo. it's not json doing the biz it's a kraut named maddel (martin) he gets little or no credit but deserves half of what goes on in the doc. he can sort that out for sure.

i wouldn't bust a gut to do any of it but if you don't mind it still being verified (and why shouldn't it be good i ask?) then yes, please go ahead. can i suggest a style/

no people in it just a leg, hands, a bike etc. voiceover afterwards and not at the time perhaps?

all videos under 2 minutes AFTER editing? is that fussy or proffesional?

2 mins is a bit short to show you how to do a job correctly..

You could have several parts for a particular job. So for instance, you could have part 1 how to make a dead stop tool, part 2 setting up the degree wheel and pointer, step 3 how to determine true TDC et-cetera.

Just my $.02 worth...

that's exactly how i was looking at it kzoo. easier to download, you get the bit you want and also by compressing things people say what is needed and don't go round will's house.

i guess talking while doing is the amateurs way and will have to do but a post filming voiceover is better IMHO.

I could do the dead stop one, but more recently my method involves going over the bars.

Azza.
