So, what tyres (its spelt right when your in the UK lol) and sizes has everyone got. I've found a pretty good deal for a pair but it's a 110/70/17 front instead of a 120/60/17. think it might make it handle funny?

Why do almost all tyres that are any good seem to start at 160. If I could get a 160 on (standard rims, 04 FS450e) it would give me loads more choice.

I'm on my second set of Michelin Pilot Sports and am pleased with them although you do need to warm them up for quite a while before you go too crazy, they back end will step out when they are pushed before warm. I will be giving the Dunlop GPR Alpha-10 a go next time, it's been developed for Supermoto's and light sports bikes so should warm quickly and be better suited to a 110kg bike rather than a 180kg sport bike.

I'm interested in the Dunlops.

I've found this pair deal but the front is a 110/70. Do you think the bike would still handle alright with this on or could it ruin it?

I run a 120 and 160, I suppose a 110 would fit on the rim but it wouldn't be the right shape, you would loose some of the curvature on the profile, may handle fine but I'd rather stick with what I know.

Is your rear wheel standard? I have more choice if I go for 160 but a few people I've spoke to said the chain nibbles at the tyre and its a little too tight fit really.

Yes it's a standard 4.25 rim, the chain is at least 10mm away from the edge of the tyre and thats using the wider O ring. A mate runs a 160 tyre on a 5 inch rim and that rubs the chain quite badly, I've had no problem. It is a tighter fit when your installing/removing the wheel but it does squeeze in.

I've found a damn good deal on some BT-016's but the rears a 160 and I don't fancy risking wasting a £130 tyre lol.

Does anyone know if bridgstones tend to run a little bigger? Some tyres I have seen run smaller. Pilot powers are slightly smaller than Avons even in the same size for example.
