Just wondering if I can get a shorter kickstarter for my 98 FE 600, or what would fit. Right now I use a milkcrate in the garage to get extra leverage but I have run across issues in the woods where the e-start fails to fire it over and my short stubby legs are looking for a stump or curb for a little more leverage. Maybe I should bring the milkcrate with me, just strap it to my backpack! I also bent the radiator last fall and am interested in some decent guards. Any ideas?

I was told yes that the '06-08 version does fit the older Bergs so it'll be interesting to see what you find out when you fit one up to your '97.
I just received and installed an '06-08 Kicker yesterday on my '95 FE501 and it fits quite nicely.
Schultzy, I use a milk crate also as I have exactly the same problem. Since mine's a supermoto for road use, I dread stalling it at a road junction and having to get off and find a kerb to rest my right foot on so I can kick the thing.
:lol: I have to find something to lean on with my 501,or if i am in the middle of no where i have to get some one to hold the bike up while i kick it, I don't understand why they put the stand on the wrong side on bergs ,if the stand were on the other side it would cure the problem. :roll:
