Hi Bergers,

I finally got around to updating my gallery with photos of the old girl, 98 FE501, with her latest acoutrements installed.

The damper is really good. Its the first time I've ridden with one and after some research I decided to go with the Scotts due to its adjustability, high and low speed damping and no damping on return to centre. It just made sense and it isn't much different in price to the alternatives that don't have the full set of features.

I'm running the sweep and high speed settings standard and vary the low speed to suit on the fly. 2 turns for open fast stuff, abit more if its rocky, 1 turn for tight rocky, 1/2 turn for tighter single track.

The Pro-Tect mount fits it all together perfectly and was CNC machined to my specs via email. Top service, and product. Keeps it all nicely low profile on the bike.

The Shark Fin replaced a bolt on Whipps which had done its job but was due for replacement. The Scotts will last a lifetime and it once again just bolted straight on, as advertised.

The B&B guards are catalogued for a WR250F. A bit of mucking about with an extra mount on the LHS, a standard rad mount mirroring the RHS and a bracket on the bottom and a very strong setup results. Easier than adapting later model Berg specific guards that was my first attempt.

My next service will be 560 hours, maybe a candidate for the Berg hall of fame?

Cheers
Steve

The radiator guards look good, you should think about doing a detailed writeup, I know I'd be interested.
I never thought much about the scotts damper until I bought my Berg and it already had one installed. Now I'll never go without one, I love it.
