I've started to take my clutch side case off to install the Orangeberg weep hole kit and have been stymied by a very hard to remove kickstarter, I've tried heat etc, etc,! I'm in the process of modding a puller up to fit, hoping that works. Anyone have any tips, this should be very straight forward but it appears the factory added copious quantities of locktite to the splines, causing me much grief!!

Most likely a worn kick-shaft and/or kick starter, so the splines are worn in too eachother.
Mine slips off easily

nolana here on UHE, who mostly just stalks the site, has/had the same problem with his 08 650. He asked me to have a go to fit the OrangeBerg weephole kit. I've yet to get it in the shed, but expect a puller, heat and percussion to assist. If you can get a steel dolly on one side and bang/belt the opposite side that that can often deform it enough to crack a seal. Just don't break anything. I used to use this technique to remove steering ball joints from cars when wrecks was all I could afford.
