:( after deciding to remove my rear swinging arm for maintenance.
i started to find problems.first problem right hand side chain tensioning bolt has been over tightend and stript the thread in the swinging arm.
second problem needle bearing seized & dry.
to over come this and stop it happening again ihave removed the old bearings .
drilled & tapped two small 1/4 bent grease nipples in the centre of where the new bearings will fit
.but you have to drill the centre of the spacers aswell .the two grease nipples sit tidey under the bashplate wich will protect them nicely and hopefully kill this problem.
back to the first problem i think the tensioner bolt is a m10 with a1.25 pitch can some one confirm this. and is the only solution a heli ciol ????. if it helps the bike is a 04 fe 550.

thanks paddy

cheers paddy and welcome to UHE.

i found that oiling the needle rollers has had a 100% result.

you've done it now so well done.

go into the doc on your left for other tricks of the trade.
