Hello folks!
I have had my SEM CDI-unit reprogrammed, but to get the most out of the dynoing I need to be able to program the ignition myself. The trick is that I'm using the MX-version and I would really like to avoid generator and battery. There are a couple of suppliers around. I have found an alternative from HPI:

Also Ignitech have a solution, but it needs battery:

The HPI fits straight in the system and facilitates 2 curves, programmable from PC, but the cost makes you swallow 1-2 times. The Ignitech is quite affordable, but then you need generator or running a total loss system, which incorporates too many parts prone to malfunction and they weigh too much.
Do you have any experience with either system or can tip on other suppliers worth checking out?
I could (possibly) build the whole shebang with stuff from Megasquirt, but I'd better stick to the mechanical side of life...
