Dare to speculate numbers when `09 hits the floor?

i believe you , but i never see any .

as you say if the sales are up now .... wait until the 09 version hits the beaches

216 bikes........ An interesting Statistic I would like to know of, is how many warranty claims on that amount of sales?

Or how many are running trouble free some 6000kms later?

Sometimes sales fiqures can get distorted.
If you really need to know just call all the dealers and ask them how many they retailed.
A now retired sales rep for Suzuki told me a tale that went like this.
He saw on the sales report that Suzuki sold 500 Ae50 scooters in the last quarter yet he was was sure very few were sold in his territory.He called the other reps and they also knew very few were sold ....it was a mystery untiil the next week he and his wife went on a vacation to what we will call a "developing country".
His wife went shopping one morning and he went for a walk,he was near the waterfront and there they were 500 Suzuki ae50 scooters all neatly stacked it crates with Suzuki Canada stamped on them...mystery solved.

My question has fallen on deaf ears....
