Until we hit at least 50% of the minimum, there is no need to start collecting any money. I don't want json to go through the hassle of setting up an account only to then later have to return everyone's money.

you need a business sponsor who knows he can sell 60 outside the UHE and let us have them at next to cost but that's hoping.

at the end of the day you need to buy these and find dealers that'll take them by having a word abroad etc.

could someone PM me the cost that has been quoted please for the lot?

regards

In the recent past, there has been no business sponsor willing to finance 60 tanks. That is why we must have enough people through UHE and word of mouth; as the South Afrikaners have done. We can reach the goal, if each person that wants a tank will tell their riding friends and each person gets 2 or 3 riding friends to commit. The real problem is that most busuness owners are too short term goal oriented. 'Why buy a bunch of tanks if I cannot foresee selling them in 6 monthes?' is the way most of them think. If we get close enough to the minimum, we will start collecting the deposits, then the other companies will join in. It is a win win deal for the people that get involved now. We get tanks at a large savings off retail, they get their mold and initial order of tanks. Since no one will be able to buy the tanks at the reduced price later, the businesses are secure in their maintaining their profits on future sales.

So, step right up and get your tanks now at this one time special offer! :D

Hi Splat,

Hey a while back I was talking with premier out by you and they told me that at the dealer show this year dealers were told that Husaberg was supposed to be making a 19 litre tank for the newer bikes. 19 Liters is about 5 gallons, to me that's way too much for what I do, and I'm sure the tank will be huge.

So, just a thought, maybe the importer does need to be involved to see if they, or Huaberg would be willing to help out, and be able to offer two large tanks, one 3.1-3.3, and the "Tanker" at 19 liters. However, I wouldn't hold up this whole process waiting on them.

The 19 liter tank that Husaberg offered for the older models with the fuel pump, wasn't a very good design as the petcock was at the tip of one of the shrouds. One tip over and the petcock could be wiped off.

i just thought i'd bump this up and say to anyone reading it for the first time - "please consider this if you are a long term berg rider and may need this tank".

i've aksed before but can someone please PM with the specific details of what has been thrashed out so far. i may be able to help here.....

regards

Taffy

Big tank

Thanks for bumping this subject up, Taffy.
If we can put together pre-orders for some tanks, it's possible that I can talk the powers that be (Roy "Low Talker" Thomas) into popping for the rest. Please give me an email with details - [email protected]

Cheers,

Brett

hello all
despite thinking that the husaberg tank could be smaller as standard i think this would be a great improvement on the range of acessories and parts for husabergs and will ask my local dealer if he is interested (ill give him the url)
ill try to get back as soon as i can

I just returned from a meeting with Josh, Yves, Roy, and the BMG team.

They are NOT interested in pursuing the market for a larger tank.

They are content to wait for Husaberg to see the potential for a larger tank. But Husaberg has already declined their past inquiries into a larger tank.

At this point, Powercell is the only individual interested in investing in the mold and manufacture of a larger tank. All inquiries should be directed to him. He has been working for about a year on having a larger tank made. So please direct all inquiries to him.
