Taffy and friends should order them in time for the Force Ride in Moab in March. Then Taffy could take them home as carry on luggage on his airplane ride across the pond. Wouldn't that be a funny sight, Taffy going through security and customs carrying a fuel tank or 2. :lol: :lol: :lol:

We may be talking about the same dealer in SA - Vic?(I can't think that there is more than one) Anyway, his 5 on your reply could be mine so there is some double counting - But, this should still make 11 from SA: your 3, my 3 and the dealer's 5 (I may get an additional 3 but can't confirm this yet).

I honestly think that it is time to contact your various dealers - if we can get a few dealers to say yes for say 5 each (like here in SA) then we are well down the line - I emailed the Aussie website (ad-link on this site) and explained what we are trying to do but have had no reply yet.

A 3.1 or 3.5 would be ideal. I was thinking whatever the extra fuel tank that goes under the seat plus the 2.4 would be good. And I'd like it to be the same yellow as the stocker.

I will ask around, but you can count me in for one also( that will probably turn into three). The yellow is translucent enough for me. 3.3-3.5 gal. works.

Personally, I don't need a large tank, but I do think that BMG would/or should be interested. I'll pm parts guy for his thoughts.

I already made the necessary arrangements. They do not care who orders the tanks. As long as 1 person or company places the order with a security deposit they will make the mold.
Please do not call or email BMG or IMS regarding these tanks, we already have the proper people involved.
We only need to get enough people committed to buy these tanks, then production will start.

think about it....it'll look bad if the NA importer buys stuff that the factory doesn't make or wish too. bit like being told by your dad that you can't go out but you do anyway!
find out how much the 100 tanks with caps will cost first and then go to someone with a price. but remember, if you announce the trade price here no dealer is going to touch it except with a barge pole.
there is no money in it!
so i suggets that everyone puts in the pot first. that's true trust. maybe schwim could set up a paypal account that you all buy into.
note i said "you", well i still would like one but i'm in the very small minority that is screaming for a narrow tank most of all and if you're all going for 3.5 gallons let alone 3 then it can't be anything but huge can it.
so i'll wait and see.
