Hi all first post. Am fortunate enough to have a spankn new fe390 in my shed, but regretfully the bike seems to be very prone to overheating. After 3 hours of run in and first service I took on some single tracks. After a few Kms of 2nd & 3rd gear we came upon a fallen tree, I was stopped for no more than 30 - 40 seconds waiting for a couple of mates on their Husqys to get over the tree, once I got over and stopped, the berg turned into a cappuccino machine. I had a close look and the top of the water pump cover gasket was bubbling away. Noting that my mates Husqys thermo fans didnt even come on.
The Husaberg Dealer tested the bike and claims there is nothing wrong and gasket is not leaking. This is when I started to worry as the dealer just took on the Husaberg dealership and the mechanics dont have the experience / knowledge to address the problem. The dealer does agree its not normal and bike should not be overheating.
We have had a very cold and wet summer this year (Aus) and on that particular day it was no more that 25 degrees celsius.
If anyone has any information about 2012 fe390's being prone to overheating I would be grateful.
Jas
