well thought i'd post this and it might givr a very basic and very rough idea of likely sales of the new bike.

personally i'm aiming to get one in 2010 when i'll look for an '09 model, simply because of money restraints.

Johnnycat is buying one if his wife lets him. Hows the "NEW" subframe doing man???

Its fine Jwilly. I have already told my wife I’m buying one to get here prepared.

I love riding way to much
So: No way of buying a 09.
Let others cure the bugs,

I waiting to get mine in 2010

I like the new 09 bike but I think I can wait until after my 05 bike explodes or parts become unavailable.

quite a common held, and understandable, idea that applys to anything new. in the past its been proved right on everything from pushbikes to HGV's
hence why this new bike has to be 100% from the word go. lets hope it is

99% sure I will get an 09 450. I think the HBG will be ready, they dont want to have any issues out of the gate. I just hope they get some sort of marketing plan and can woo a few more dealers back.

Cant wait !!!!

Will definitely get a 570, got my order in already with my local dealer. :D

I got the first 2000 model 520 EXC RFS KTM, a real ground breaker, everyone was predicting doom and gloom, but I had a great season on it before everyone else wised up and got one in '01...........now the EXC's are everywhere...........

I am always amazed at how much doom and gloom is on this forum.............I am surprised some even manage to get out of bed to face life in the morning with such pessimistic views all the time.........

oh well.............I cant wait for the '09 to get here, looks great and am keen to sample the 570 that handles like a 250F 8)

Probably....funds permmitting.
And no Froggy....I will probably hold on to the 496 awhile.

would I buy a 2009 husaberg

Having owned a 96, 98, 2000, and a 2002 I was hooked on the Husaberg. The 2002 ended my great respect for the berg, the other three were great. Now they have to win me back!
The chassis should not be a problem, the engine for 09 will have mostly proven parts, if they get the fuel mapping right, with smooth enduro power delivery, not like some other fuel injected single cylinder off road bike I have rode, I will own another Husaberg.
The six speed trans, power, handling, ease of maintenance, quality of components was for the most part great.
I have owned WR 450 Yamahas and KTMs since I left Husaberg, but they just don't work for an all around bike as will as the Husaberg.
A friend who bought my 2000 berg will also buy a 2009 if the reports are favorable.
Have a great ride

RE: would I buy a 2009 husaberg

I am a tiny HSB dealer in Canada and I already have 3 deposits on the 09s.

I think that I just gotta have that bike from what I can judge the handling potential
is huge, that kind of offsets the not to buy the first year and the bling factor enormous
the bike is ground breaking and not to be in the first wave it would be hard
what I want to know when is that bike going to be for sale in the US??

VIKING

hell ya.

In 2004 I bought this VERY different 450 enduro bike called, I think a Husenberg or something. Amongst many jokes and funny remarks of "are you mad" to "I've never heard of it" even " is it one of those chinese bikes", my old faithful has proved it' self many, many times.

At first I went for it because I have always liked something a bit different, NOW I will go for it because I want the best.

It's been put on the new house budget; got 12 months to save.

Seeing as how there are a few reports surfacing of issues with the 08 450/530 EXCRs ( seals between gearbox and engine going), I would be suprised if the 09 Berg doesnt have any teething issues too.....

Remember- this is a company that had 7 years to sort out a leaky water pump issue.

Now were getting a all new engine, along with EFI, a new frame etc- I think the scope for "new model blues" is huge.

No 09 Husaberg for me.......not till they are proven in the market place.
