The bike wont start with it in gear and the clutch pulled in? Finding neutral does get easier with time.

The clutch drag is so great before the engine is warmed up that the starter won't spin the engine fast enough to start in gear with the clutch in. When warm there's no problem. Maybe it'll improve when the clutch gets some hours on it.
Might also try some 10/40 at the next oil change.

Mine too. Once warmed up well it will start in gear with the clutch pulled but until then I have to find neutral.

I am running Amsoil 10/40 it seame to be working just fine and as far as finding neutral it gets alot easerer with time on the bike and I just spent 3 days tieing ribbion for a desert race next weekend stop start every 75 feet

Just fitted a Trailtech TTO temp gauge to keep an eye on the temp and the first thing I've noticed is that, on the road with normal airflow the engine seems to be massively overcooled! The temp is struggling to get past 50deg C. If left to idle or in traffic for instance the temp quickly climbs to just over 100 when the fan cutts in and keeps everything under control. Start moving again and the temp drops like a stone to under 50deg. This is too low an operating temp and can be as bad for the engine as overheating . It's 5deg outside today so not particularly cold compared to what it has been lately. I blanked off the LHS rad with a piece of card and this got the temp up to the high 60's but I guess this will be will have to be removed on any tight/slow trails. I'm wondering if the bike actually has a stat fitted so I'll be checking that tommorrow. Has anyone else noticed such a large range in operating temps?

According to the parts list, the FE570 is fitted with a 70°C thermostat. Maybe yours has failed.

Just thought I'd I post an update to my earlier comments after giving the bike it's first decent off road outing on Sunday with the 13/52 gearing fitted.

With 9hrs and almost 300miles up the gearbox is freeing up nicely, still not the positive neautral selection the Honda had but MUCH better than that first ride with nice slick changes on the move :D

Checked the stat and it's working OK opening at around 73deg so still not sure why the bike seems overcooled on the road in cold weather but I can live with the blanking off the LH rad solution until the summer comes.

Compared to the Honda the handling is a REVELATION!! Absolutely fantastic. Makes me feel as though I've actually got some ability (which of course I haven't Lol!).

Dialling in the 'slow' mode on the map switch makes a much bigger difference on the slippy stuff than I expected which is good 'cos I'm crap and the weather on Sunday was *****. £25 well spent I reckon. Roll on next weekend!(these dark nights are a real downer).

So, all in all.. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Well I did my first enduro on the new Berg this past weekend and it impressed the hell out of me it riped throue the fast valleys yet still nice and nimble in the slow stuff hell I never even took the dualsport stuff off  I love having the horn when making a pass
