Hi Crew,
Recently bought my first Husaberg. I have to admit I was drawn to the FS650 purely as the "King of 'Tards", before I knew much about Husaberg and it's awesome history and values. This site has been a real education, so thanks to all that post here for the wealth of info.
Being located in NZ, FS 'bergs are rare as hen's teeth. My new project is to restore the largely unloved FS650e back to it's former glory, then ride it 'till the wheels fall off, (hopefully not literally).
I've added a couple of pics of the bike when I got it home, and its process of getting cleaned up. I'll post some more as things get sorted...
I've torn down every piece (which the exception of getting into the bottom end) and now it's slowly getting pieced back together. It's been a tough (read expensive and frustrating) process in NZ as every part (even spokes) have to be ordered in from the northern hemisphere because nothing is available down here...
Can't wait to finish and start enjoying the ride. Any tips and tricks on general maintenance would be appreciated!
See you round the forum!
Cheers,
RJ
