MY FIRST STREETRACE FOR 2006

WOW, good for you Takis. You are a very honorable man for not taking the money. I bet the KTM rider is very pissed though, it's one thing to loose but another to blow up and loose.
Too bad about the video, maybe there is a chance you can get it back some time. Is this the first time the fuzz (police) put you in the slammer (jail)?

Hi guys. There is not any grief but only a big laugh in my mouth. We were under from 30 guys in the police station. The cops know me very well from my magazine. They were my readers. Maybe I'll get the tape back after few days. There were many magazine reporters at the race and the police do not want publicity. For that reason they the tape from us. No, this was not my first time in jail. I have been a streetracer from 13 years old. You can imagine how many times I went in jail.

Excellent race my friend Takis!
I can only imagine the scene with 1,500 people waiting to see the race as policemen try to make them go home! You really make us proud here at UHE. With a third gear start, did you have trouble keeping the front end down on the launch? It's so cool to know you were pulling away from the KTM before it went BOOM!

Congratulations for all your time and investment paying off!

Sincerely,
Logjump

@ Everyone else

Please help me out, if you will. Takis is struggling to grasp the english language, and there are many barriers that we try to overcome, but there's one thing that will help me out immensly, if you will:

No sarcasm, and as little slang as possible when you're having a discussion with Takis. He doesn't know how to take things like "pumpkin ****" and other quotes that we understand. And he's quite spicy, which makes it tough.

I go through all of his posts(which are a bunch) and edit them to make them a little more understandable, both for his benefit and yours. I don't want to have to translate insults, so if you could all help me, I'd be greatly appreciative.

Remember: NO SARCASM OR SLANG WHEN TALKING TO TAKIS.

thanks,
json

Not just Takis but anyone who's second language is English I would assume.

The emoticons at left are very useful things when trying to be silly.
 (wink)

Takis,
Please stay around. I enjoy your posts and many others do as well. You are an amazing speed technician as well as a great guy!

Is there any word if you might get the video of your streetrace back from the police? Have you seen any photos of the race? I'd love to see a picture of the very start where you got the jump on the KTM.

Your friend,
Logjump

(Rick) :)

Oyk, I think he meant someone filmed their KTM a lot because they liked it. Or at least, I assumed that's what he meant.

thanks,
json

Pumpkin, slang for KTM (KTM's are orange like the color of a pumpkin).
****, slang for ****ography (should be no explanation needed)

The term "pumpkin ****" was meant to be mildly amusing, In which case I thought it was

Try downloading the "media player classic"
from here. This will play anything.

For those who haven't been able to view the 3rd Video, try downloading 'Media Player Classic' mentioned in Kelsow's post, I did and it worked !

Takis! Great job indeed!
Regarding English/american slang/jokes/sarcasm I can tell you it isn´t easy even for one who used to live there. It´s so dynamic.
Hang in there and try to get that video back...

Personally I think it says a lot about the man showing his challenger´s bike with such respect. Before the kill...
